The absolute highlight of my trip to Seattle. I was on my way to the underground tours next-door to this beautiful place and stopped by to look at the menu outside. A gentleman greeted me and told me the place was a part of the art walk in downtown for the first time. And so they were open till eight instead of three and they also have a special menu that he suggested I try. I wasn’t hungry but I wanted to at least try the pastry. I got a canelé and it was so good that I had to stop by on my way back from the tour and get two more. Absolutely perfect slightly caramelized dark crust with velvety creamy custard inside. Not too sweet, extremely flavorful with a hint of rum. A gentleman outside turned out to be the owner, so I ended up chatting for a bit with him and his team, and I was so thoroughly impressed. Orphée is originally from Paris, he got one of the best pastry education in France and then worked and ran many prominent places there and in the US. He told me that they source the very best ingredients. (especially flours) from France and never compromise on quality. On my way out I couldn’t help but stop by the little pantry they had and I also got baguette, butter and some chocolates. Everything tasted incredible, I wish I didn’t have to get on a plane to get that stuff. The baguette traveled with me for the next few days and by the time I got home, it was obviously dry. I dunked it in water and baked it at 350 for about 15 minutes and it was the best tasting treat (with butter).
They have a very cozy and stylish interior and a small patch of outdoor patio that will make you feel like you’re in Paris. Highly recommend to anybody in the area!

The moment I walked in, I fell in love with the interior. Mirabelle by Orphèe is small but cozy, with seating, and it feels really welcoming. The staff is incredibly friendly and made the experience even better. I ordered a latte and a pain au chocolat and wow… both were absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh and perfectly made. The prices are very reasonable too. I’ll definitely be back so I can try everything on the menu.

As an aspiring francophone, when I learned of a new french bakery in town, I had to go. When you first enter, there are delicious treats and uncommon (in the US) products to explore. Additionally, the warmth of the place and staff. If you want to attempt your french, they’re all ears, but don’t feel pressured. While at our table we found people around us friendly and in both cases, we wound up chatting with strangers.

The food. This was our second visit as there’s far too much to try in one go. On each visit, we tried a couple baked goods and a breakfast to share. A week later, my wife is still dreaming about the mirabelle beignet. The ingredients are delicious and the end product, a delight. I’m still savoring the Oui Oui le chausson I just experienced with it’s melt in your mouth pastry, fresh apple compote, and buttery flavor after you swallow.

We’ve so far tried: croissant, mirabelle beignet, St. Germain breakfast, Mr. Breakfast 2.0, baguette, oui oui le chausson, salmon symphony tartine, coffee, and hot chocolate. You won’t go wrong, even if you cover your eyes and point at something random on the menu or in the pastry case.

Go. You’ll only regret not going sooner.

We came here to celebrate my daughter’s bday and the food, ambiance, and service did not disappoint. Because we made reservations, they had a table set up for us perfectly. Orpheé greeted my daughter so warmly and she felt so special because she had been wanting to try this bakery for so long! We got croissants, Mr. breakfast, parfait, macarons, coffee, hot chocolate… everything was fresh, delicious, and tasted amazing. The croissants were so flaky and moist. My husband and I loved our Mr. Breakfast sandwiches. The macarons were so flavorful but not too sweet. I also loved their small little market area- felt very festive. We will be back here again!

Love the French vibe. The food is aesthetically gorgeous and the taste is even better. I have been searching for the perfect croissant and I think I found it at Mirabelle! The perfect flakiness and softness on the inside with visible layers and layers of lamination, dipped into coffee was just heavenly. The best croissant by far in Seattle. I also had their breakfast sandwich and it was perfect on toasted brioche sesame buns. I would go every day if I could!

I took a croissant masterclass here and it completely changed the way I saw both the craft and experience of being a guest. Hearing Orphée’s story and seeing his passion firsthand made me view Mirabelle as much more intentional and personal than just another coffee/pastry shop.
What stuck with me isn’t just the delicious pastries, but the care, the generosity, and the warmth that defines this place. I came back to the cafe after the class because the experience lingered and again, I was reminded that this is the kind of hospitality that goes beyond transactions. There is a genuine effort to build relationships and welcome all which feels increasingly rare.
It isn’t just a cafe but really an experience shaped by pride in craft and authenticity. If you’re looking for exceptional French pastries with a level of hospitality thats unmatched, Mirabelle by Orphée is a place you absolutely need to visit. Highly, highly recommend & everything I tried was 11/10.

One of my favorite spots in downtown Seattle.

I’ve been here several times and have tried almost the entire menu — everything is consistently fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Even the plates and the overall aesthetic make the experience feel like a little French escape.

The biggest surprise? The prices. For being right in the heart of Seattle, the value is unbelievable. And you can tell why the quality is so high — the French owner is often on-site, personally making sure everything meets his standards.

Such a charming place with amazing food at a great price. Highly recommend

I think for Seattle, having a place like Café Mirabelle by Orphee is truly a joy and a privilege. There’s something very special about it — the atmosphere, the soul, the care you can feel in every detail.
First of all, the pastries are incredible, truly 10 out of 10. The coffee is great too, and you can feel the French spirit in everything — from the flavor to the presentation.
What really makes this café stand out are the details: the silver forks and spoons, the beautiful dishes, the French-inspired elegance that you just don’t see often anymore.
It’s clear that everything here is made with heart and taste. Thank you for keeping such high standards, and for not giving up, even when the fancy forks disappear (owner’s words ) Seattle needs places like this. ❤️

And I have to say, this café feels especially perfect for romantic dates, or for girls who want to feel a bit like French women, enjoying a cup of coffee, a buttery croissant, and maybe a glass of champagne while watching life go by slowly from a little table outside.

If there’s one thing to improve, it’s the speed of service, though, to be fair, maybe that’s just part of the French charm.
And please, don’t be discouraged by what’s happening around Pioneer Square. Yes, there’s some street life there, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Focus on your croissant, your cup of coffee, your inner peace, and you’ll find yourself somewhere between Seattle and Paris.

Thank you again for creating such a beautiful place. Seattle truly needs more spots like this.

This is the best croissant in Seattle. I took the croissant masterclass from Orphée and it was so much fun. Orphée shared his hospitality and expertise and demonstrated the entire process in his kitchen. His passion comes through in the delicious result. I can’t wait to come here again and share it with my friends.
