Had lunch here when passing through town and it was the best! Had liver smothered in gravy, best cabbage my boyfriend’s ever had, and fried okra. I had a club sandwich and sweet potato fries and sweet tea. The staff were so kind and attentive and warm. Highly recommend!!

We needed a quick lunch and were in town, and boy, are we coming back! Those were the best burgers we’ve had in too long. Cooked perfectly and served up exactly right. Reminded me of my mom’s cooking, and it made me a little homesick.
Then, we got some lemon pound cake, and let me tell you, she makes that right. Not too wet, not too dry, not too light or strong on the flavor. I haven’t had pound cake that good in awhile.
My husband and I left there promising ourselves we will be back to try more of her great cooking.

A wonderful stop for lunch! My husband had the “Big Boy Platter” and I had the “Bologna burger” with fried onions and peppers. Great food! Wonderful owner and staff. Lots of local folks stopped by. We definitely recommend!!!

My family and I stopped in for lunch last summer and I have been bothered about writing an honest review.
Anita is a very nice lady. She is so nice you really don’t want to say anything negative. She looks as though she is trying to do her best. Nonetheless how do you know what your doing wrong unless someone tells you. These reviews are so conflicting with my experience that it makes me feel I have it wrong.
I’m gonna come through again and try her food just to be fair. Then I’ll give my 100.

Best chicken livers ever. So tender you could barely fork then into your mouth! Hot and delicious! Green beans, yams and roll also delicious. Attentive pleasant service. Highly recommend and will return.

I ordered the seafood dinner with catfish that was fried to perfection, delicious coleslaw, piping hot hush puppies and loaded French fries and ice tea for my beverage! Needless to say I was very impressed and thoroughly satisfied with my meal and I will definitely be returning to Anita’s establishment!
