I’ve been eating at Taco Roco for at least 25 years. Pretty sure it’s still some of the same employees just a different location. The staff is wonderful! It’s almost more of a Gringo style in my opinion, but always amazing flavor. As long as they’re open I’ll still be eating here. Their salsa that comes with the chips, and the creamy green salsa are my two favorite salsas in the world! My favorite torta as well!

Everything about my visit to Taco Roco was amazing yesterday. The staff was extremely helpful and most importantly to me the pricing was very competitive and on point for a lunch menu. The food tasted amazing. I had the three tacos and they have an very tasty, they also had a nacho bar with six different types of salsa, cilantro, and onions. The restaurant is clean and there’s plenty of parking available. Definitely recommend this place if you happen to be in the San Luis Obispo area/Broad Street.

We have been eating here for years and usually really enjoy the food. Unfortunately, this last week I was home sick and I was in the mood for some nachos. When I opened the container at home, this was the most disgusting nachos I have ever seen! It was just a pile of chips with meat thrown on it covered in disgusting liquid nacho cheese. We had to remove the meat and throw the rest of it in the composting. So disgusting!!!!
I was looking for nacho made properly, with fresh black beans, corn, tomatoes, olives, onions, sour cream and guacamole, withe the meat layered among the chips and shredded REAL cheese melted on top, to make everything yummy and gooey.
I did not get this, I got crap!

This is a café setting where you go up to the counter to order, no table service. Plates are poly or plastic and cutlery is plastic. Casual but clean, and ordering was easy, pricing is average. It was ok, but not my favorite.

I had ordered the Fish Taco and Shrimp taco and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. I normally enjoy shrimp more than fish but the fish tacos here have to be my favorite. It’s a nice little spot right near by and I’m glad I tried it. The red sauce was much spicier than expected and i absolutely LOVE that! I really enjoy spicy foods/sauces/salsa and this was definitely at the level that I like. I would recommend and I personally would like to try other options on the menu!

I can’t say enough good things about the food here, ordered from Postmates while here on vacation and it exceeded my expectations! Hardshell shredded beef tacos were so delicious! Fresh and flavorful. The salsa is my new obsession! The rice is perfect, Fluffy and flavorful the way Mexican rice should be. I will definitely be ordering again when I’m back in town.
