Well, this is the third time I’ve been in this wonderful hole in the wall smoky good wonderful place on Mill Avenue in Tempe and I’ll tell you something every time. I’m in there. I’m satisfied I’m surprised I didn’t write every view sooner. It doesn’t matter if you’re having their meat stuffed or chicken stuff burritos with the choice of your toppings or you’re having sides of pico de gallo, everything is just wonderful to the taste and not overly seasoned as I was explaining to the executive chef And the meat and chicken always taste like meat and chicken folks if you ever want a really good burrito with a salsa that is thick and creamy not runny and a side of chips. Serve with pico de gallo or salsa for less than three bucks folks. This is the place to go. The Horchata is fresh and deliciousfrothy and smooth, and then the place always smells of that wonderful mesquite that slow cook that fire roasted labor that you can taste in every bite if you’re like me, don’t add salt. Don’t add pepper. Just enjoy the meal.

My family and I have been here twice now and both times the food has been amazing! The steak tacos and bowls are so good!! I actually think it’s some of the best carne I have had in a long time. I got to talking to the manager today while we were in and he was such a nice guy with great customer service! Highly recommend and we will be back!!

Clean digs and serious burrito game! Got here about 9 am, nice and quiet. Good to know they serve breakfast burritos until 11 am! It’s a build-your-own situation like Chipotle, which makes it easy to customize. My chicken burrito was HUGE and tasted fantastic. Major props on the portion sizes you will not leave hungry. Definitely worth a visit!

Mediocre at best. My mom and I went, she got two tacos (one chicken, one steak), I got a steak quesadilla, we got chips & queso as well. Here is the breakdown:
Food:
1) Chicken taco – chicken was fine, no major complaints.
2) Steak taco – my mom said it was as tough as beef jerky. She didn’t like it at all and didn’t eat it all.
3) Steak Quesadilla – steak was tough and dry, cheese wasn’t fully cooked. I asked for fajita peppers on it as well and never got them.
4) Chips & Queso – cold, it had been just sitting in a container and was not in a heater so likely not temperature safe.
Service:
Overall not good. I asked for fajita peppers on my quesadilla, had to ask three times, still didn’t get them. He said they would be on the side because he forgot to put them on, then he also forgot to give them on the side. The lady forgot to give us the queso & we had to ask two times for it. She kind of got an attitude and gave us our cold queso.
Overall, a pretty poor experience, with pretty mediocre food that cost almost $30. We didn’t finish the food and ended up throwing it away. Taco Bell would have been just as good and would cost less than $20. My mom is slightly picky, I’m not picky. Take that for what you will. Will not return and I do not recommend.

Taco Tuesday deal changed without any notice online. Was coerced into ordering more tacos than I wanted, at a higher price than I expected. Taco were delicious though. Space is a little cramped. Authentic delicious taco and sides though. Their red salsa is top notch.

Not pictured the taco I already inhaled. Everything is so fresh and favorable. I got the barbacoa street tacos and my boyfriend got the chicken and steak quesadilla. We also tried the mangonada! We came in based off the smells and are so glad we did! Staff was so kind too. Definitely would recommend and will be back!

Excellent tacos! Great mesquite smoke Carne. I was pleasantly surprised by the great grilled tasty meat. Decent amount of meat. The salsa was good. The beans had a asada taste! Very delicious! The rice was delicious and fully cooked and the taste delicious. I recommend you stop by for great tasting tacos.

My coworkers have been raving about this place so I tried it out, and I’m a believer. Super fresh and super flavorful. The staff are all really nice. I am not sure if it’s wise to have an inside grill but it sure makes it smell amazing. I’ll be back!

The food tastes just as good as it smells!! I was walking down the street following this amazing aroma of mesquite and I found this place. The were grilling and smoking steaks and I didn’t want to leave after I was done eating. The burrito tasted just like Mesquite and the place smelled like Mesquite and I was just basking in Mesquite! Not only was the burrito amazing but the salsa was so good, it also had a mesquite flavor and I just wanted more and more! I wanted to drink a whole bottle of it! Definitely try the salsa if you go there!
