This has happened one too many times now, from missing ingredients to leaving ingredients that have been requested to be removed. It just keeps happening. Today, requested no tomato and sub was suppose to have bacon. Result, no bacon and tomatoes left. You’re probably better off going some place else.

I was extremely unimpressed with the service I received last night. I accidentally placed my order at this location while I was at Planet Fitness on Maize Rd last night around 7:18 p.m. That wasn’t a major concern, as I assumed the extra drive would ensure my order was ready when I arrived.

When I got there, my food was not on the pickup shelf, which initially wasn’t a big deal. An older, bald gentleman was standing at the counter talking with the two employees working-one with green/black hair and facial piercings, and the other with short hair and a very noticeable hickey on her neck. He mentioned he was a former employee, and the three of them were laughing and carrying on.

The employee with short hair and the large hickey on her neck asked for the name on my order. I told her, and she simply nodded without responding, then continued talking with the man as if I wasn’t standing there.

That same employee then followed the man outside while still joking around. Instead of assisting me while her coworker stepped away, the employee with green and black hair stood at the edge of the counter and watched them carry on outside rather than helping me.

I wasn’t watching closely, but the man began honking his horn, and the employee with the hickey came back inside laughing so hard she was rolling on the floor. Meanwhile, I was still waiting for my order, now close to 7:50 p.m.

She eventually asked me again for the name on my order and even said the wrong name before finally saying, “Oh shit, your order’s on the counter.” Sure enough, my order had been completed and sitting there the entire time I had been waiting.

I have absolutely no issue with employees having fun at work-I actually enjoy seeing staff happy and interacting with customers. However, there’s a difference between having fun and neglecting job responsibilities. The lack of attention and the disrespectful interaction were unacceptable, especially when I’m spending my hard-earned money at your business.

I’m not someone who typically leaves reviews, and I can overlook a lot, but this experience left me feeling genuinely disrespected. Because of this, I do not plan on returning to this location.

Sloppy messy subs with very low quantity and low quality meat that looks like it came from a great value lunch meat pack What a waste of money. I did tell the manager and she did apologize and give me two free sub cards which I did use a couple months later. This time I said I wanted all of the dressings on the side in containers and was told yes sir. Got home and nope it’s all on the subs and Sloppy. And have you seen how disgusting their hot sauce bottles look! You don’t deserve my business and I can guarantee that no firefighter would approve. The sandwiches look absolutely nothing like the pictures!

The idea to support the local public service is great. The club sandwich is our fav but we decided to try the philly cheese steak…not going to recommend that.

The place was much cleaner and empty in the evenings, which makes it an ideal place for a quiet meal where you can hear yourself talk. I would take a sandwich here over Subway any day. Drink area is usually clean and stocked well.

Only ask is to improve the philly cheese steak meat. Everything else is good.

A lot of chatter but zero customer interaction or care. Order was wrong, and ordered hook and ladder, but received a firehouse sub. She asked what bread and said white garlic or wheat. I said white and I was charged.50 cents? Point is sub I ordered was $6.49, and hero was $7.99 and she added.50 cents for the bread upgrade I guess?

People skills are becoming rare.

When ordering girl walks up to take my order and just stands there looking at me, NO hello No can I take your order, nothing. Takes the order wanting no onions. Said on the receipt no onions, what do I get but onions. And of course no pickle, supposed to come with pickle, but no pickle. Really should not be this difficult, especially when there are like 2 people in there, no busy what ever.

For the price point I don’t feel the value is there. I got a brisket and cheddar sandwich that didn’t look anything like that pictured on the menu board, with barely enough meat to separate the bread. I’ve seen cold sandwiches at Quiktrip with 3 times as much meat as what I got here for half the price. Very disappointing. Glad I didn’t tip before I even got my order… or maybe that’s why they shorted my portions? Tip culture is getting to be out of control, especially when asked for before you get service.

What’s up with getting an offer via e-mail and then the local Firehouse sub is not participating in the offer. I guess it’s just to get you in the store.

“Get any two select medium subs for just $14 or upgrade to two larges for $20. Pick from our Hook & Ladder®, Firehouse Meatball®, Turkey & Provolone or Italian. Pair up and save big.”

On top of that how long does it take to make a sandwich?

Manager more concerned about employees clocking out than serving the customer.
