I usually don’t post when the food is decent. But, the lunch special is a scam. $10 for a meal crammed in a tiny container normally used for a side dish is a complete rip off. Food prices are going up but this is unacceptable. I do not recommend this place. Students go here why rip them off.

Sad, because I had high hopes for this place. Lively music, nice decor, good menu, decently sized dining area.
Lady at the register took my order, she wasn’t rude but wasn’t friendly either. She was efficient and I at least got what I ordered. Ordered my half curry/half jerk and some Rasta Pasta and sat down. Table was dirty, not sure for how long. There was a few people there but it was far from busy. Same thing for the guy that gave me my food. Not rude, was helpful, seemed surprised that I wanted to eat there.
The rice tasted like it was cooked with dirty bath water, it was inedible and the aftertaste lingers. My mouth regrets ever meeting that rice. Rasta Pasta had a good flavor. Curry was decent, spicy jerk had a light jerk flavor and a hint of spice, plantains were pleasantly sweet. Cabbage was bland but tolerable.
There are a lot of things I’ll give second chances to, questionable kitchen cleanliness is not one of them. This place would make a great hangout but I will not be coming back here to eat again.

M&K Jamaican Restaurant service has diminished. I ordered via Uber Eats 20 minutes before the drivers arrived. Once the driver arrived another 30 minutes before wait for Oxtail Dinner , cheesecake & drink. A total of 50 minutes before the restaurant decided to inform the Uber driver they did not have any oxtails. M&K Jamaican restaurant has begun to operate fraudulently marketing food item on their menu they don’t have. Soon as you received the Uber Eats order it should have been cancelled & removed from Uber Eats and the Uber driver should have been informed immediately instead of 30 minutes later after they waited. Absolutely Unacceptable!

I received my oxtail dinner with a salad a & strawberry cheesecake. My oxtail dinner was completely undercooked & cold absolutely no heat & greasy substance was rock hard. The strawberry cheesecake was completely frozen like an ice cube. The salad looked old & wilted & no salad dressing. The cook & staff provided undercooked cold food & frozen dessert & old salad food today. In my opinion this is a health code violation in properly cooking & servicing food. UNACCEPTABLE & SHAME ON YOU!

Oh my my 1st time eating Jamaican food. I do not regret it. I will start with the greeting. We were immediately greeted by a nice bubble personality. I asked for suggestions and was informed about the most popular meals, and most liked dishes. We got the oxtails with rice cabbage and plantine. I enjoyed every part of this meal. The flavors that exploded in my mouth were simply amazing. The portions were great and I think I have found a new favorite spot. Very professional staff and clean environment. A nice sized eat in area. My only suggestion would be to frame the wall pictures to make the establishment look as if your here to stay.

I gave m&k a try for lunch yesterday. It’s my first time trying Jamaican food other than maybe a couple of bites of jerk chicken on random trips to the Caribbean. It was a success!
The inside of the restaurant is super cute – bright colors, lots of art. They have speakers playing reggae type music both inside and outside. Little bit of outdoor seating – simple tables and chairs – and a bit more seating inside than I expected.
The menu is fairly large with a lot of different options. You place your order at the counter. Regardless of here/to go, all orders seem to come out in styrofoam boxes.
The service was polite and was working efficiently. They were fairly busy even around 11:45 on a Tuesday.
I decided I wanted to try curry chicken. Many of the entree/plate combos come with rice and pigeon peas, cabbage, and plantains, which was fine with me! I got the “medium” portion and it still probably could’ve stretched two meals if you weren’t crazy hungry.
Overall, I really enjoyed my meal! The chicken was absolutely MELTING off the bone. Super moist and delicious. The curry just had a delightful, complex flavor – not spicy at all, in my opinion. Loved that there was a little extra curry to soak into the rice. The rice and peas were also great, very fluffy and flavorful in its own right! Plantains struck a nice balance of chewy and tender. My only complaint is I thought the cabbage was a little too salty for my preference…that being said, better salty cabbage than bland cabbage. Lol.
Definitely looking forward to returning! I can see myself ordering this again or branching out and trying something new.

Definitely enjoyed my food. I ordered medium oxtails and it came with rice and cabbage and plantains. The food was pricey but well worth it. I would also suggest calling and placing your order ahead because there was quite a wait. Definitely recommended
