What can I say about the restaurant and its wonderful staff?
Seven of us (five adults and two kids) drove from Phoenix to Puerto Peñasco (Rocky Point) to celebrate our friend’s birthday, and we stayed at Peñasco Del Sol. Along with our stay, we received the option to enjoy breakfast at the Fire Pit Restaurant.
From Day 1 to Day 4, we were welcomed with warm smiles and extraordinary hospitality from the entire staff. The experience was so delightful that we began having our lunches and dinners there as well- even though six of us were vegetarians and I was the only non-vegetarian.
I have traveled to 18 different countries across Asia, Europe, North America, and Australia, and trust me, if I am taking the time to write a personal review for this restaurant, it’s because we were genuinely treated with respect and dignity. Fermin, the Head Chef, is one of the most humble and down-to-earth individuals I’ve ever met. He went out of his way to prepare a special vegetarian dinner for our birthday celebration. Because of him and the rest of the incredible staff, I will undoubtedly keep coming back here.
Other team members who made our vacation truly memorable were Joana (thank you for the beautiful decoration), Deny, Ramon, Francisco, and Valerieo. Each of them showed such dedication and genuine care for their guests that not once did I witness any rush or disappointment from anyone. The credit clearly goes to the management as well for nurturing such a positive work culture. I sincerely hope they receive the recognition and rewards they so rightfully deserve.
(There were others who helped us as well and my apologies for not mentioning the name but everyone deserves the appreciation at this place)

From the beautiful young hostess that greeted us upon our arrival to the waiter that died a spectacular job of serving us this place was a total pleasure. The atmosphere is awesome and the views spectacular. The food was prepared perfectly and tasted awesome. A tip of the hat to the chefs for a great meal.
Had dinner with two of my friends. Myself and one other had the Tenderloin, sautéed vegetables and mashed potatoes. The other friend had the Shrimp Tacos. Each of us were complimenting the way the food was prepared. When we arrived we were seated immediately, our drinks were brought quickly, our order taken and food arrived at our table before we could finish our first drinks.

Everything was OK, but this restaurant is a high-end restaurant and pricing. Expectations didn’t match what was served. First, prices were 50% higher than listed online. Checked the menu they have posted online, and it was from 3 years ago. Updated menu is posted now with my review. Hamburger was overdone and required a steak knife to cut the meat, biting didn’t work either. Pork tomahawk seemed pan-fried, not living up to Fire Pit name. Chicken, sweet potato, and Veggie dish had only a decorative smear of sweet potato, not enough to actually enjoy and left me hungry. Staff was able to confirm that this dish was gluten free. Rolls came with a flavored butter the family enjoyed with craisins inside. No kids menu.
I liked the antler decor throughout.

Desayuno was included in my rate. All the other restaurants are closed here. Not much for kids. Expensive. No good options around hotel. If you go eat at Las Palomas it will be double or triple.

Incredible octopus. Cooked to perfection. Caramelized and crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside – magnifico. Steak was also cooked perfectly, highly recommended. Our server took incredible pride in Mexican wines but was not afraid to take me on a journey around the world, felt like I had a personal sommelier!

The menu and presentation is definitely one of the best options you’ll find in the area. This places is borderline fine dinning the quality of their meals are high and thus reflect the smaller portions. The chef is creative in fusing seafood into the menu. Very attentive staff, but non disturbing. Would highly recommend

If you would like to pay $65 for a flank steak they call a “Rib Eye” how stupid do you think people are? Horrible, boiled and brined salty meat.

Cesar salad was soggy and warm like it had been sitting out for hours.
Charged us $9 for luke warm mashed potatoes.
Staff and management could care less. All they want is to take your money and for you to leave.
