Brings me right back to my high school days when I went to the Burlington Mall for Sarku Japan every day I worked. Little family owned space with absolutely delicious, incredibly fresh food. The portions are huge and you get 2 meals out of one order. My wife and I come here all the time when we want a cheap meal. Love these guys.

I ordered an entree and asked for no rice. I looked at the bill and there was a $2 charge. I asked why and they said because I didn’t get rice and veggies only. Said I just didn’t want rice and they said there was a $2 charge for this. Told him no thanks and went to the place next door. Might explain why it was the only place with no line.

I stopped by here for lunch and was not disappointed! The food was good, cooked to order and you got plenty of it!
The Staff was nice and she helped me place my order because I wasn’t sure what I wanted!
I would definitely recommend this location!

Sarku sits right next to Chic-Fil-A in the Deptford Mall food court, and gives it a run for its money, which ain’t an easy task. Every single Chic-Fil-A you pull up to in the Tri-state area is jam packed to such a degree that you start to suspect they might be puttin a little somethin extra in their chicken patties than just hormone-laden poultry. But anywho, at Sarku I slid some succulent shrimps down my throat, and the chicken, vegetables, and fried rice that came with it also titillated my sophisticated palate. They cook it right in front of ya so you know they’re not droppin it on the kitchen floor somewhere in back and slappin it on your styrofoam tray after callin the 5-second-rule. I was feelin particularly ravenous that day so I ordered some of their dumplings too, and they ain’t half bad. I wouldn’t recommend the beef teriyaki though, which I got on a previous excursion, cus I wasn’t all that impressed. Overall I think that if you’re startin to grow suspicious that chic-fil-a sprinkles a not so legal extremely addictive white powdery substance that was popular in the 80’s into their chicken patties and you’re lookin’ for an alternative, then I think you oughta give little Sarku Japan next door a try. Dunno how closely it resembles anything people in Japan actually eat, but at least it tastes like its been made with a little bit of love. Or this whole review was an exaggeration and I let my lust for fried rice overcome me and skew my perception of reality. You decide.

Every time I visit the Depford Mall I always get food from this establishment. Sarku Japan always makes their teriyaki fresh to order.

Food here is always on point, always made fresh right before your eyes, service is great, when you ask for your order Togo they line the Togo bag with a waterproof bag incase any sauce spills out, they are always super friendly and have never denied any special requests of mine. The atmosphere though, it’s a mall food court lol take it or leave it. Foods bangin, I eat there probably once a week.

I was here yesterday on 4/1 / 21 & I was in line waiting for Chick -Fil-A but there was a half hour wait time & I was really hungry & I saw that this place serves sushi & I went with one my favorites the Philadelphia roll & it was really awesome & definitely delicious. I would have gotten the bento box but I decided that I will get it another time when I come back . I was actually impressed with the skills that went into preparing my Philadelphia rolls. Sorry Chick -Fil-A you have lost me to Sarku Japan & Sarku Japan has gained a new loyal patron in me & I will definitely be back to enjoy more of my favorite sushi rolls & tempura as well. It was definitely well worth the price & the food is definitely good quality .

Me and my friends decided to give this place a chance and it was the best decision we ever made. The food was delicious and savoring and we enjoyed every second of it.

Despite the fact that the food is actually ok, the cashier lady is the rudest heffa ever. She doesn’t listen , she gets the orders wrong, and gets upset when she’s confronted. Your facility will lose business as long as you have someone so ignorant managing your money. I will never eat there again
