You go to this restaurant for the atmosphere: a lot of local people from rural Vermont hang out here. You sit outside under the trees and can absorb the ambience. We ordered the veggie burger with onion rings. The service was friendly, though the order did take quite a bit of time to prepare. Prices are moderate. We did not order any ice cream.

Driving past Craven’s, tucked suspiciously in what looks like an abandoned camper that screams, “We definitely have a basement… in the ground under the woods somewhere,” I joked, “This is where people go to get murdered.” Turns out, they just serve good food. Who knew?
I ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch because I enjoy flirting with heart disease, but imagine my surprise (and horror) when I bit into a tomato that wasn’t listed on the menu. Nothing like an unsolicited tomato ambush to ruin a perfectly good sandwich.
As for the ranch? Hidden Valley. Bold choice. Like showing up to a wine tasting with a Capri Sun. It works, technically, but Ken’s Steakhouse Ranch would’ve elevated it from “this is fine” to “take my money.” Plus, Ken’s is cheaper in bulk and doesn’t taste like sadness in a bottle.
Now, the fries? Chef’s kiss. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, like every emotionally unavailable person I’ve ever dated.
Clearly blanched and fried to order, which is the kind of effort I didn’t expect from a food operation that looks like it could double as a prop on The Walking Dead.
Prices are high, but so are my standards, and somehow this little camper managed to meet them. All in all, Craven is proof that sometimes you can ignore your survival instincts and still end up with a good meal. Just don’t trust the tomato. Never trust the tomato.

What a great find this was The hamburger was perfectly prepared and topped with real bacon. The large, meaty chilli cheese fries (real shredded cheddar) was big enough to take half home. Lastly the custom blended shake pulled it all together.
Highly recommend and worth the trip.

Great little roadside find! We were the only folks there when we went early afternoon. There is a nice seating area and music playing on the speaker. Food is big portions, real bang for your buck. Tastes good and the guys were nice. Including a menu in my photos since I hadn’t seen one posted yet. It’s totally worth a visit!

The food always smells amazing and the best creemees in Addison county! We had family visiting from out of state this weekend and I had to bring them to Cravens on their final night here! Everybody was very happy with that they got, and I especially loved my lemon/vanilla mix creemee so delicious

An amazing random roadside foodie find! Americana done right with good food cooked well by good people. The location is super cute and at dusk felt like a dream with all the string lights around the vintage airstream. A perfect way to spend a post hike day and can’t wait to go back to try more things. I know everyone wants creamies in VT in the summer (they do have them) but the absolutely delish handmade milks shakes are a must!

The food was 10 out of 10. The owner was super friendly and food came out within 10 minutes. IDK what they do to their bacon but it’s the best we have ever had. Highly recommend plus the food truck is super cute and they play older music to fit the theme. Will be going back this week
