My husband and I went to Pierro’s on a Saturday night for dinner and got a reservation for 6:45 pm. I don’t want to start with the negative part first haha! We loved the food! The seafood risotto is a killer! The garlic bread served as a complimentary item is delicious! My husband’s cocktail tasted amazing and my wine was great! However, we got to the restaurant at 6:53 (a bit late). The server didn’t come to check on us for the first 20 minutes. We ordered drinks, and that took an extra 15 minutes ‍ . The food came after 1 hour. It’s a lot of waiting in my opinion. The server was very nice and gave us a free appetizer and a free dessert for waiting. I think they were short-staffed. The food was delicious though and I appreciated the workers letting us know about the delay.

My husband and I came to Pierro’s for our anniversary dinner. Our shrimo scampi was so good! The sauce light and flavorful. The complimentary garlic rolls were also very good. My husband ordered the Bistecca Roma and I ordered the Seafood Pierro’s. Both were excellent. Our waitress was courteous and food was out rather quickly. We are visiting from Charlotte but we will come back again.

This is a very elegant and tasteful Italian option in downtown Raleigh. I recently visited this restaurant for a work Christmas celebration. The atmosphere is modern and floor plan is very open. Our group enjoyed all of their delicious appetizers and entrees we ordered. Their cocktail selection was appealing while their beer and wine menu had nice options while not being too exhaustive. This is a great dining experience for a business dinner as well as a romantic evening out. I highly recommend Pierro’s and plan to be back in 2026!

Lil Mike was amazing! He took great care of us and was super accommodating to our shellfish and dairy allergies. In spite of the adjustments, the food was absolutely amazing, Fre$h, and actually came out pretty quickly. The ambience was equally
spectacular. The highlight of the night was the opportunity to meet both of the chefs, Mike and Danny, who did an amazing job! If I could put 10 stars I would! Great for a date night, family gathering, or even a birthday celebration!

6/5 stars. Such an incredible evening thanks to the chefs, Angela, Lil Mike & my date. We read a ton of reviews before coming and Lil Mike lived up to the hype. We started with the Rosso wine which was so smooth and delicious. The garlic bread was not overwhelming garlicky so you could taste the bread’s delicious flavor. The short rib was outstanding, the best I’ve ever had. The pesto was also great & I loved how veggie packed it was. They really do service and food well. I recommended going on a weeknight for a more cozy night. We will definitely be returning!

Definitely recommend!! Got the braised short rib and fra diavolo. Both were excellent. The tiramisu was also delicious. My only complaint is that we went for lunch and they overcharged us for both of the entrees. I think they were the dinner prices, not the lunch ones. It was only a few dollars difference for both, but our waitress fixed it immediately. The food is great, but make sure to double check your bill before paying!!

This was our first time here and we a wonderful time! The drinks were very delicious and portions for the food were appropriate, which I really appreciated. It was fairly busy when we went thus a bit loud and our waitress seemed a bit distracted, but all understandable since it was Saturday night. Overall, I really enjoyed our dining experience here and would go again!

If you’re deciding which Italian restaurant to go to, I can genuinely recommend Pierro’s . The atmosphere was a 10/10, cozy, relaxed, and with music that allowed us to comfortably talk without raising our voices. The staff was friendly and kind, but what truly stood out was the owner, Chef Daniel, who clearly puts his heart into both the food and the guest experience.

I ordered a steak and asked the waiter to have it prepared the way the chef himself prefers it. And honestly, I couldn’t have asked for anything better, it was the best steak I’ve ever had! The portion size was generous and Chef Daniel really showed his talent. He even came to our table afterward to make sure everything was to our liking, which felt very personal and thoughtful.

I’m genuinely impressed and feel that this place absolutely deserves 5 stars.
Service, food, atmosphere, attention to detail – everything was wonderful.
We will definitely be coming back! ✨

This was the best restaurant I’ve been to in a long time!!!! Brussels, filet mignon (and the risotto it came with) & pesto gnocchi all 12/10. I believe our waiter’s name was David and he led us to make the best choices. The zegettes for dessert were also delicious. We will be for sure coming back!

A Raleigh Revelation: Where Flavor Wears Its Finest Suit or Sexiest black dress

There are restaurants that feed you, and then there are restaurants that romance you. This one? Let’s just say I left more smitten than a tourist at the Eiffel Tower with a glass of Bordeaux in hand.

The Opening Act: Leaves you craving more

The Meatballs & Ricotta arrived like a standing ovation in porcelain form. Tender, juicy spheres of flavor cloaked in marinara, the ricotta—airy, elegant, and just subtle enough to whisper instead of shout.

Next, the Ravioli Fritte. Imagine the rebellious cousin of the mozzarella stick, but dressed for a black-tie gala. A perfect, genteel crispness on the outside, a cheesy softness within, and a marinara dip so refined it should come with a silk cravat.

And then, a palate cleanser of sorts: the Kale Caesar Salad. Light, balanced, and confident enough not to drown in dressing. The arugula gave it just the right sass, while homemade croutons reminded me that sometimes, the simplest pleasures can still steal the show.

The Main Event: Where Entrées Take the Spotlight

The Prime Ribeye was bold yet poised—14 ounces of pure Angus charm, grilled to a smoky crescendo. Juicy, herb-kissed, and unforgettable. The broccolini swap for potatoes? A surprisingly perfect duet partner. Now I can not feel guilty about eating 3 garlic knots.

But then came the Braised Short Rib, and I’ll confess: it ruined me for all future short ribs. Slow-cooked six hours in a sauce so addictive it could probably get its own Netflix special. Each bite melted with the kind of ease that makes forks optional, while the risotto held its own as a creamy, dreamy stage mate.

The Chicken Leonardo was no wallflower either. A medley of bacon, spinach, ricotta, goat cheese, and sausage—all crowned with lemon butter—sounds like a chaotic cast. Yet, somehow, they harmonized like a gospel choir on Sunday morning. Balanced, flavorful, and so good I briefly considered drinking the sauce straight. Amen to that!

And then—cue the spotlight—the Pesto Gnocchi. Tender little pillows of potato gnocchi swirled in a pesto cream so luxurious it could have been bottled as perfume. The sweet Italian sausage, earthy mushrooms, garlic, spinach, and roasted red peppers turned it into a festival of flavors. Creamy, hearty, and comforting, yet still elegant—a dish that makes you forget you ever doubted carbs.

Curtain Call: Desserts That Deserve Roses

The Chocolate Mousse Cake walked that fine line between indulgence and restraint. Intense chocolate flavor, yes—but never too sweet, never too heavy. One of the best I’ve ever had, and trust me, I’ve had enough to qualify as a cocoa historian.

And the Vanilla Bean Crème Brûlée? A sensory symphony. That first crack of the caramelized top was so satisfying, it might deserve its own soundtrack. Beneath, a silken cream infused with authentic vanilla bean—every spoonful a velvet whisper of perfection.

Final Verdict

If Raleigh has a culinary crown, this restaurant is polishing it as we speak. From start to finish, every plate was a promise fulfilled, every bite a reminder that dining can still be an art form.

Five stars? Please. This place doesn’t need stars—it is one.

An ABSOLUTE MUST try and repeat!!!

Forgive the pics and some crumbs on the plate, I was fighting forks off to try and get good ones but I wasn’t quite fast enough on a few!!!
