First visit, arrived on Thursday at the tail end of happy hour and found a spot at the bar. Absolutely love the ambiance of the place. I found the staff to be friendly and attentive and the food was incredible! I had the pasta and sausage with vodka sauce. Will be back!

This is a really cool hole in the wall kind of local bar you want to come back to every week in your neighborhood. They have very good Italian food which is so unique for a bar setting like this in my opinion. We got the meatballs which were above average but our entrees stole the show. My husband got the seafood manicotti (or something similar) and I got the somewhat spicy pasta & vodka with sausage. Both were very good and I’m not even a huge Italian food gal. We finished off with the crème brûlée cheesecake which was super unique. Cash only! Very chill vibe with high quality Italian food, we’ll be back!

An Irish pub that serves Italian food? Yeah! And it’s great!

Be mindful that they run out of food as the day goes on, I didn’t get to try the meatballs, but I’ll be sure to come back to get them. Everything they served was delicious!

This is not a bar, it’s not a restaurant. This is a Philadelphia Institution. It’s a monument to authentic made that day food and revelry that is a well kept secret that wait for no one and is open to all who are in the know. If you are one who judges books by their cover then you should reserve judgment until you’ve covered your tongue into any of the pasta here. It’s the secret that we all wish was still secret.

I unfortunately am not as close to this and I guess felt the need to let the word out in aoitful jealousy of those who still get to just wander in for hand made Italian extacy sold out of a Irish bar with no air of pretention or facades to help ward off those who don’t need what they offer; the absolute best food and absolutely most unadulterated dining experience in the area. Doing that at price point that is pulled from the 90s as if defiantly showing the area that quality doesn’t get dictated to those who can afford to spend more.

As a lover of Irish bars and Italian food was definitely stoked to go someplace that combined two of my favorite things and I was not disappointed. The filet tagliatelle was so delicious and the limoncello gelato dessert was perfect. The food came out pretty quickly and it’s obvious that a lot of love goes into the food and vibe here.

A Philly word-of-mouth gem that might be a little overrated at this point. Cash only. The service felt absent and the pasta was cold by the time we got it at the bar. However, the flavor and menu is undeniable. Worth a visit despite the flaws.

If you come here expect a long wait and quick, prompt service. it’s a small place and super busy all the time. The food is exceptional. I got a black truffle pasta it was so so yummy, creamy and full of a beautiful truffle flavor. My friend got a spicy pasta dish with tomato sauce which was stellar. Prices are cheap and definitely order a bottle of wine so you don’t have to wait on drinks at a busy establishment. Second time coming here and everything is always delicious. Note that they do run out of things so have a back up order in mind (they have a variety of things)

This is the third or fourth time Ive been here. Amazing italian in a lowkey setting. If you go around dinner time on a weekend, expect to wait for a table but it’s well worth the wait. We had the meatballs with ricotta which was divine as well as the burrata as appetizers. Mains were the pasta with pear and the vodka sauce. Everything is great – have yet to have a bad dish here. Around $60 a person with four drinks and leftovers + dessert. Definitely more affordable than most fine dining in Philly (if you can call it “fine dining”).

The value here is phenomenal so I see why it’s always busy. Love the general vibe of the place and the cocktails are great too. Fast and friendly service but maybe it slows down a bit when they’re absolutely slammed. Fried motz was especially good!
