Delicious cajun seasoned fries. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Beef steak sandwich with gravy is delicious. To top it of items like the root beer straight from Louisiana 10/10.

Bayou Market has a convenient setup and a laid-back feel. The food was okay nothing bad, just didn’t stand out and service was average during my visit. Atmosphere is calm and functional, more grab-and-go than a full dining experience. Decent spot if you’re nearby, but there’s room to elevate across the board.

My Cajun family, I’m telling you… This Place Right here is . I met the owner some years back and she is from New Orleans! The food is delicious, the Cajun smells are amazing! The staff is magnificent, Lorena helped us with the menu and was super friendly! She had the GSU/Southern game playing when we walked in. I’m #GramFam 4 lyfe, so I was super excited to see that….even tho we didn’t win this year…still to enjoy the game at a place that feels like home was priceless! It’s one of those mom and pop type restaurants. I suggest you guys come check it out! This spot is #DJApproved #GramFamApproved #CajunApproved

Its been about a year since I’ve been there but use to go there regularly when I lived nearby and absolutely loved their Po-Boys and crawfish etouffee. I was thinking of visiting again and noticed the menu prices on Google are 30-50% higher than they were a year ago and higher than on their website. I’m wondering which is more accurate?

Edit: Thanks for the fast reply on your day off even! Looking forward to visiting again soon!

We had the best catfish, fried okra and some of the best potato salad. The service was great. Our waitress was very friendly. She said it was her first time making potato salad. She needs to keep making it. We would highly recommend the Bayou Market. We will be going back.

Review for Bayou Market (Visited Thursday nov 6)
I’ve been coming to Bayou Market for a few years and usually enjoy their food, but my visit this past Thursday was really disappointing. I ordered a full-size po’boy, and while waiting, I could see straight into the kitchen from my seat by the door. Before the cook started on my order, she was digging in her nose and wiped her hand on her hip. She didn’t wash her hands and went right back to preparing food.

A moment later, she noticed me watching her, turned her back to me, and started digging in her nose again. Then she put on one glove, touched her nose once more, and continued handling the food without ever washing her hands.

after seeing all that, I lost my appetite. I’d recommend paying attention to the kitchen if you decide to eat here. As of now, I don’t think I’ll be returning.

Walked in and it smelled exactly what a good cajun/bayou joint should smell like, Ive worked in a commercial fishery so I know “that” smell of fresh/live ingredients. I knew in an instant this place was going to be on point and it absolutely killed!!!! Hands down best shrimp Po’ Boy in N. Texas and likely beyond. The bread was nice and crusty on the outside and warm and fluffy inside, the shrimp were huge and fried just right. The cajun fries had the exact amount of spice, not too spicy but spicy enough to compliment the sammy! I was seriously impressed with this hidden gem and I tell anyone and everyone I can about this place…..
