That leaves Wingstop with 2 out of 5 stars.
Here’s why:
The service? Spot on. Easy online order, fast prep, polite, and hardworking staff—even though it was a busy Friday and mostly teens running the place, they were on point. Good to see the young-Gen stepping up. No issue there. That earned one full star. 4 to go…
The price? Decent for a 40-piece pack, a side of boneless, fries, dips, and celery. Another star.
But the food? Uh… rough.
Let’s start with how all the food was toppled over in the two carry-out bags we got. by the time we walked back to my truck, grease soaked the bottoms. Don’t set these bags on your seats!
The order: We ordered Atomic, Hot Honey, Louisiana Rub, and Mild—plus 5 Mexican Street boneless wings. Played a blindfold challenge with my family to guess which was which… and nobody could. That’s how little the flavors stood out. Everything tasted the same—dry, chewy, underwhelming. Sauces looked like they were drizzled under the wings, not on them. (See pics)
The fries? Interesting seasoning but small portions and soggy from the get. One basket looked like leftovers. The cheese sauce cups? They should have been half off, because they were barely half full. Celery? Technically there, but barely a serving, and even those were rubber and half 2nd-hand cooked from getting hot in the bag…I think.
I really wanted this to be good. We were excited to try it. But Wingstop fell flat. Hard.
Marco’s Pizza across the Grand River? Their wings blow these out of the water—pun intended.
Will we be back? Not for a long while. Maybe we’ll give it another shot in a year if they step it up.
To the management:
You’ve got fast service. Train that same energy into quality control and flavor delivery, and you might just earn all 5 stars next time. Employees are only as good as the management who trains them. Reflect, reassess, retry.
To survive as a business in West Michigan, you’ll have to step up your game, WingStop, or you’ll end up just like GameStop…Who? Exactly my point.

Mild wings were more like plain and dry everything seems water down the blue cheese should be illegal water down it’s so bad it looks like paint I’ve been sick and this was my first meal i actually was willing to eat in such a long time

My wife and I tried Winstop yesterday 10/25. Being this was our first time we decided to do the 20pc and try 4 different sauces (on the side).
Short:
Wings were mush/under cooked and covered in grease/ slime. For a place called Winstop I am very disappointed in their food.
Food:
After getting home with the food we were surprised to see that the wings were covered in a slime and appeared to be undercooked. Left over brine or fry oil? We ended up trying to put them in the toaster oven to cook them to temp but they just turned to rubber in which we ended up tossing the food.
Atmosphere:
N/A – to go order
Service:
Employees appeared to be stressed (dinner rush) as expected for a 5pm Saturday order. Helpful and order came out quick (might be the issue)
TLDR: I do not recommend the food from this Wingstop.

The service is horrible. Yes, it is Christmas Eve but that does not mean it should take over an hour to make some freaking wings and fries. The food was OK. Would I eat here again maybe possibly. And then we called them to ask what was going on and heat. The guy started going on about his boss there like dude that is not our business like if you wanna talk about drama then go to your mama.

Placed a carry out order at 5:00, said it would be ready in 15 minutes but I waited until 5:30 to arrive. I get there and they tell me an additional 15-30 minutes and could be more. I got some tenders and fries that’s it, there has to be a better system? I had my dog in the car and had to be somewhere by 6. I enjoy coming here because of the food but every time I come it takes an hour plus for a fast food place.

The food is great but everytime we place an order online or call it in they never even start it 25-30 minutes after we ordered it. We drive here and wait extra long because we know they take forever to make it so we give them 30 minutes and every single time they grab the ticket and say they haven’t even started making our order. It’s very frustrating because we usually order it after work and want dinner and end up waiting over a hour to eat.

Some of the worst take out I ever have had. I ordered 2 chicken sandwich combos and also a separate order of fries. I’m the last person to speak negatively on service but when I called and asked if I could be refunded for my fries I was told “there’s not much I can do” our drinks had no soda flavoring and I counted 10 fries in both of our combo orders we have. The last time I ever consider going here.
