This is my first time trying this restaurant. As a local resident can’t believe I just found out such hidden gem in this area. I will definitely going back soon to try their other dishes. This restaurant deserves the stars and it should be more exposed to the public and you won’t be disappointed.

A chef friend loves this restaurant, so enjoyed a celebratory dinner there with him as our “food guide”. The three of us specifically ordered items to share. Every morsel was better than the last. All of the appetizers were incredible. The salads are huge (with plenty to share). The French onion soup is possibly the best I’ve ever eaten. My salmon was incredible (making it difficult to share!) We topped off the evening with a lively chat with the owner/chef and chocolate domes. The restaurant is small, so reservations are recommended. Enjoy!

We did take-out from Bonne Assiette. The contactless curbside pickup was extremely easy. We placed the order at 6, and it was ready at 6:30. The most difficult part was having to drive home with the aromas from the food next to me without sneaking a bite!
We ordered a Kobe Beef Burger & fries, a Truffle burger & fries, a Spinach Pasta entree and two orders of the Chocolate trilogy Mousse dessert. Absolutely delicious and definitely hit the spot! Total was $36 for the entire order! We would highly recommend to anyone looking for a delicious local dinner option at an affordable price. We will definitely order from them again.

My fiancée and another couple tried this wonderful French restaurant last night. We had heard the food was good, and we were hoping for the best. We were pleasantly rewarded! The food here is fabulous! There were four of us and we ordered different appetizers. The French Onion soup was excellent. The Octopus plate was delicious. The snails were super. The star of the show was the foie gras, which was absolutely divine! For main courses, we had the Lavender Chicken and the Fillet Mignon. Both were exquisite! The staff is friendly, helpful and very efficient. The chef is a delight to talk with. This restaurant setting has a great history, several great chefs have been here, and this incarnation is no exception. Go and thoroughly enjoy! The price is right and you will not be disappointed!

[Covid-19 era] First time trying this spot for take out and couldn’t be happier. I wasn’t paying close enough attention to their hours and called a little late, something I try hard not to do. They still accommodated and I really appreciated that. They were excellent with communicating their system for pickup – something many restaurants could do better. The food was amazing – large portions too – and very reasonably priced! We’ll order from them again and can’t wait to eat there on location when things start to open back up.

The place was nearly empty when we showed up for our 7 pm reservation on a Saturday… not a particularly good sign. It was about 75% when we left at 8:30. The service was attentive but could have been better. Our appetizers were just Ok, but the Shrimp dish had a excellent sauce. The bread was flavorful. The house salad included with the entrees was great. The short rib entree was enjoyable but the accompanying starch was not good. The veal lollipops special was terrible. While the flavor was good nothing else about the dish was acceptable…from the overdone asparagus to the fatty chops. I should have stayed with my first choice. The desserts are not made in house except for the creme brulee. Nothing to write home about. They do have decaf cappuccino. Overall it is unlikely we will be back.

Last Saturday my friends and I had the pleasure of dinning at Bonne Assiette. I would like to share what a great dinning experience we had at this restaurant. starting from the the owners Assi and Rita to the the waitress Candice. We were welcomed by the hostess, Rita, who directed us to our table and brought the menus. The waitress quickly tended to our drink and appetizer requests. It was truly a fine dinning experience beginning with the appetizers. The mussels were exquisite. I don’t usually like mussels; however, I must admit that these were absolutely delicious. we all dipped our bread into the sauce until it was all gone. We all ordered fish entrees and everyone was happy with their meal from the sea bass, red snapper to the rainbow trout. Later Assi, the chef came to talk to us and make sure that everyone was satisfied with their meal. I highly recommend this restaurant and we will surely return for another delicious meal soon.

Four of us went on our first outing since the pandemic and it was not only lovely but safe. The meals were as always delicious!!
The duck was tender and crisp, the filet mignon was succulent and amazing. The chef came out at the end to make sure everything was okay and we were delighted to tell him how exquisite the meal was.

As a long time worker in the service industry, its not often I can say excellent, warm, perfectly welcoming and personal attention was received here. Apparently it was the first time open on a Wednesday…. we made reservations regardless. We thoroughly enjoyed the extra attention with it being a bit slow for obvious reason. Weather was perfect so outside we sat… The blonde waiter (in training ) was excellent and will easily master his new position. Confidence is key, he demonstrated ability immediately. The chef? Assisting our waiter was equally appreciated and offered a casual yet genuine authentic vibe. The food was excellent, presented beautifully and we will be back sooner than later. Oh and the salad was a work of art and can be easily shared (as suggested)… as we originally considered 2 separate salads. My dinner companion lived in France in the past and was equally impressed with the creme brulee for dessert… we almost ordered another! The bill was exceptionally reasonable for the quality, portion size and experience in such a quaint environment. Highly recommend for a quick light bite as well as a full dining experience with friends and family. Food was not heavy as many French restaurants often are. Its also a byob, so definitely consider bringing a bottle or two. I didn’t notice a corking fee, may want to inquire prior if this is a concern.
We enjoyed:
Beet salad
Salmon and white beans
Filet and potatoes
Creme brulee
Excellence!!

This restaurant is a hidden gem in NJ. The Chef prepares the most delicious meals, soups, beet salad, and desserts. Carne de Parc (Pork Loin) was fantastic and presentation with a variety of potatoes was artistically awesome. Filet mignon was cooked perfectly. Lobster bisque was tasty and smooth. Beet salad was an excellent starter that also big enough to share as a family size portion. Chocolate dome and Opera dessert were unbelievable. Service waiter and chef wore masks and were very attentive and friendly. We will be returning as it is only about an hour away from our home. That says it all as with so many restaurant choices within 30 minutes driving time BONNE ASSIETTE is a real stand-out for a high quality gourmet dining experience..
