We had a fabulous dining experience. From appetizers to dessert, every single dish was delicious. Our server was excellent. She assisted us in picking dishes, and was friendly and attentive. The timing of our meal was perfect– relaxed and not rushed.

We are locals, as well as FOH managers and have been bartenders/servers most of our lives. We decided to celebrate our Valentine’s dinner early due to us not being able to celebrate this weekend, with us ourselves working. It was our first time here.

Firstly, all of the staff were great.
Our sever was Ella. She was very professional, and observant. She was thorough with specials that were offered. Truthfully, I was blown away with how well she pitched them & spoke very clearly about specials not listed on the menu. As well as presenting our bottle of wine.
I always give credit when credit is due. & I hope she is valued and recognized often.

Our food, top tier. One of the best meals I’ve ever had. The baked Brie was my favorite. Steak was cooked perfectly. The scalloped potatoes were also amazing. The portion sizes with everything surprised me. With the prices, you definitely are getting your moneys worth.
I also loved the atmosphere. The decor is something I also paid attention to. The little details. It was great.

Thank you for a wonderful evening and spectacular meal. We had a great night & we will be back for sure.

I had not been to Millpond in quite a while. We had a large group and I was blown away. All the food was excellent. The location and ambiance of the property is truly lovely. Gabe our server was personable and handled our large group like a boss. The whole staff was amazing. Highly recommend

Food & server was great. We got the high dolla Seafood Tower & 2 salads. My only complaint is why ask when you are booking a reservation if it’s a special occasion? The server even asked us at the table during her presentation. There is nothing offered. It was our 38th anniversary & I asked the server & she said they offer nothing, but a candle on the table. Pretty cheap in my mind. How much would a sliver of desert / cheese cake , etc cost them considering all the money they rake in weekly! Our bill was $250. Think we will stay local & avoid the 45 minute drive in the future .

Went for a 3rd anniversary dinner. It was crowded. Our server Trisha was excellent. Very knowledgeable of menu items, friendly, engaging and provided great service! I had bacon wrapped filet with succotash and Rich had salmon with chopped salad and fried okra. I like my steak well-done and it wasn’t dry at all. Very flavorful and the aioli sauce was great for dipping. It was sweet which contrasted well with the taste of the steak. The succotash was well seasoned. Rich enjoyed his salmon and fried okra. We finished the meal with peach cobbler and nice scoops of ice cream. Great meal! If you seek a secluded, romantic restaurant away from the hustle and bustle of everything, this is a great place to go. They have outside eating as an option also. Reservations are recommended!

First time tonight for a girls night out. Our waitress Tricia was phenomenal and gave great recommendations. The shrimp cocktail was one of the best I had, steak was filling and I could taste the love and care in each bite. The sides are meant to share so our table of 5 bought different sides which we shared. We had the scalloped potatoes, grits, twice baked potato, mushrooms, and fried okra. I think they were all phenomenal but my favorite were the twice baked potato and grits. For dessert we ordered mixed berry cobbler and blueberry cheesecake. The bite of cheesecake I had was out of this world but their signature cobbler was absolutely divine. The views were gorgeous as we watched the sun set. Definitely will be visiting again!!

We celebrated our wedding anniversary here tonight! The Millpond Steakhouse has been one of our favorites for the past 14 years. We don’t get to visit as often but every time we come here, every thing is as amazing and perfect as it always has been! Of course, we order the ribeye and filet, with duck spring rolls for appetizers and a nice salad. Sides are scalloped potatoes, mushrooms, and Mac and cheese. As usual, everything is perfectly delicious!
This time, we made sure to save some room for dessert! We ordered the blueberry and white chocolate cheesecake and triple chocolate fudge cake this evening! Make sure to order their cobblers! You’ll notice that the setting in the restaurant is very formal but what makes Millpond Steakhouse so special is the amazing and unique is the Southern Hospitality that each and every employee shares with every guest! If you’ve never been to this remote gem, you have to make a beeline here!

The steakhouse is in an old mill in Boykin. The place is very rustic and includes a bar and a good amount of seating. There is an area that will accommodate a large party.
The service is very helpful specifically on your first visit. The menu is designed as al-carte so each item is order individually, although the sides and salads are served family style.
I think we over estimated the portions and had alot to eat. Overall the food was good but needed to order less.

My husband surprised me with a reservation for our 1st anniversary and I must say what an amazing experience! The staff and food was out of this world! Yes, pricing but SO worth every penny! Very impressed with hospitality and it was just a beautiful relaxed dinner! We will definitely be going back!
