Brisket had a great crust to it. Ribs fell off the bones. Smoked beans, could have used a little more smoke and thickness. Potato salad was on point. Only issue we had was the food wasnt hot or warm, only room temp hot. You want the BBQ to be at least warm coming out of the kitchen.

Great beer selection. Would have liked to see more than just Peak Sweet Tea for the tea option but its not the south.

Still well worth it for a ocean side BBQ shop.

I was back and forth looking at the menu. I was greeted, assisted and had my meal brought to me by Paulina! Her customer service was kind, efficient and with nice manners! I asked her name, so, I could highlight her in my review.
She answered my questions
about my side order options, she followed up giving me good feedback on the BBQ Rib sandwich special that I ordered and when I asked her for another ketchup bottle she brought it
to me quickly.
She was genuinely kind
and was on top of customer service upon first impression.
It’s a nice location but has a very casual feel which is nice!
I would like to give Paulina
[5 Stars] and suggest the
company to give her a nice recognition and/or special
bonus or reward!
Kindness goes a long way with me especially being a visitor
from further away.
Thankyou Paulina
for simply being
a good person!

We were surprised, the BBQ here was pretty good and we enjoyed it. In addition to good BBQ they also have a lot of beer choices and specials. Coronado landing is also a great place to walk and visit and while there I would highly recommend giving this BBQ spot with covered dinning a try. Also it is right on the landing next tonthe water.

I stopped by this spot for some BBQ and tried their Pig Out Platter combo, which includes two meats and two sides. Since I’m big on protein, I added an extra meat, opting for two servings of beef brisket and an order of ribs. For my sides, I chose the mac & cheese and the smoked mac salad.

They offer a solid variety of meats like pulled pork, brisket, chicken, ribs, plus sandwiches and burgers. There’s also a good selection of canned beers and seltzers to pair with your meal.

As for the food, it was a bit of a mixed bag. Half of my brisket was tender, but lacked seasoning. The other half of the beef ribs were unfortunately overcooked and quite dry. The mac & cheese was just okay, and the smoked mac salad didn’t have much flavor.

Overall, it was still a good experience. The vibe and variety are there, but the flavor could use a boost. A little more seasoning and attention to doneness would go a long way in making this place stand out.

I stopped in after deciding I didn’t want fast food tonight. The reviews were great and the food photos looked solid, so I figured I’d give it a try. I arrived around 5:30 and was surprised to find that about half the menu was already sold out. Definitely get here early, because the later it gets, the fewer options you’ll have.

I ordered the brisket sandwich, which was good—no real complaints—but it wasn’t a “blow you out of the water” kind of experience either. The mac salad was fine, though it felt like it was missing something. I also got the brisket chili, which unfortunately came out cold. It was presented nicely with chives on top, but obviously should’ve been warm. The server apologized and offered to replace it, which I appreciated, but I declined.

Overall, the food was okay. Convenient if you’re already nearby and want quick BBQ, but personally I think it might be worth driving over the bridge for more options and a better experience. Keep expectations reasonable and you’ll be fine.

Pretty good for California BBQ! Good combination meals and bbq plates with delicious sides. Potato salad is great! Kids meal options, even a big juicy hotdog!

They have sauce right on the table so don’t over do it!

Fountain drinks and canned beer.

Friendly and fast service. Can get busy but worth checking out.

Excellent bbq and even better service. I can’t believe the huge beer selection selection in the fridges as you enter. There’s truly something for everyone. I grabbed the big combo with ribs, Brisket and pulled pork with the max e and cheese and beans. I also got an order of the corn fritters. The fritters were amazing. Dense but so moist. I really want to try the sausage next time I’m in!

Didn’t really like the food. Out is what I ordered so had to get something else. Liked the beans. Didn’t care for the taste of the ribs.

Staff was nice. atmosphere was like fast food almost. Order at coounter they bring it to your table. Pick your drink before you sit down. Quick eat. Toss your trash into the can and you are off. Did have gluten free options. Staff seemed to know about them. Just didn’t care for the ribs… Kind of a musty taste to them.

We ordered a big spread — brisket, jalapeño sausage, pulled pork, fried pickles, fries, corn fritters, macaroni salad, pulled pork nachos, and corn. With the exception of the macaroni salad (which had zero flavor), everything was absolutely amazing — a solid 10 out of 10 on the food itself. The brisket, sausage, and pulled pork were spot on, and the sauces were excellent — flavorful, balanced, and paired perfectly with the meats.

The biggest letdown was that they were out of baked potatoes, potato salad, and macaroni and cheese — kind of disappointing when those are staple BBQ sides.

But the real reason for the 3 stars is the atmosphere. There was extremely loud heavy metal blasting from the kitchen, easily ten times louder than the dining room music. On top of that, the kitchen staff were screaming along like it was a concert. It completely killed the vibe and made it hard to enjoy what was otherwise excellent food.

Honestly, the food was fantastic, but the noise and chaos coming from the kitchen would make me think twice about coming back.
