Great beer selection. Would have liked to see more than just Peak Sweet Tea for the tea option but its not the south.
Still well worth it for a ocean side BBQ shop.
She answered my questions
about my side order options, she followed up giving me good feedback on the BBQ Rib sandwich special that I ordered and when I asked her for another ketchup bottle she brought it
to me quickly.
She was genuinely kind
and was on top of customer service upon first impression.
It’s a nice location but has a very casual feel which is nice!
I would like to give Paulina
[5 Stars] and suggest the
company to give her a nice recognition and/or special
bonus or reward!
Kindness goes a long way with me especially being a visitor
from further away.
Thankyou Paulina
for simply being
a good person!
They offer a solid variety of meats like pulled pork, brisket, chicken, ribs, plus sandwiches and burgers. There’s also a good selection of canned beers and seltzers to pair with your meal.
As for the food, it was a bit of a mixed bag. Half of my brisket was tender, but lacked seasoning. The other half of the beef ribs were unfortunately overcooked and quite dry. The mac & cheese was just okay, and the smoked mac salad didn’t have much flavor.
Overall, it was still a good experience. The vibe and variety are there, but the flavor could use a boost. A little more seasoning and attention to doneness would go a long way in making this place stand out.
I ordered the brisket sandwich, which was good—no real complaints—but it wasn’t a “blow you out of the water” kind of experience either. The mac salad was fine, though it felt like it was missing something. I also got the brisket chili, which unfortunately came out cold. It was presented nicely with chives on top, but obviously should’ve been warm. The server apologized and offered to replace it, which I appreciated, but I declined.
Overall, the food was okay. Convenient if you’re already nearby and want quick BBQ, but personally I think it might be worth driving over the bridge for more options and a better experience. Keep expectations reasonable and you’ll be fine.
They have sauce right on the table so don’t over do it!
Fountain drinks and canned beer.
Friendly and fast service. Can get busy but worth checking out.
Staff was nice. atmosphere was like fast food almost. Order at coounter they bring it to your table. Pick your drink before you sit down. Quick eat. Toss your trash into the can and you are off. Did have gluten free options. Staff seemed to know about them. Just didn’t care for the ribs… Kind of a musty taste to them.
The biggest letdown was that they were out of baked potatoes, potato salad, and macaroni and cheese — kind of disappointing when those are staple BBQ sides.
But the real reason for the 3 stars is the atmosphere. There was extremely loud heavy metal blasting from the kitchen, easily ten times louder than the dining room music. On top of that, the kitchen staff were screaming along like it was a concert. It completely killed the vibe and made it hard to enjoy what was otherwise excellent food.
Honestly, the food was fantastic, but the noise and chaos coming from the kitchen would make me think twice about coming back.
