Our server was Josue
Be prepared to wait a bit for your food to come out of the kitchen, they do not rush the dishes.
What we ordered:
1.) Ho No Mo Mocktail $10.00 Passion Fruit, lychee and lemon. This drink was more refreshing and a bit on the tart side so if you are looking for a sweet drink, I would not suggest this.
2.) Pear and Apple Salad $15.00 the salad was great on top of greens, crispy prosciutto, but the Whipped Citrus Cheese dressing on the bottom over the Apple and pears was a bit too heavy.
3.) Beef Crisps $9.00 reminded me of pork rinds but much lighter and tastier. It comes drizzled with Chili Lime Juice. Delicious!
4.) Imperial Rolls $10.00 Lightly fried pork and shrimp rolls in light tangy sauce.
5.) Slow Braised Short Ribs $29.00 The short ribs were tender and the Kimchi fried rice was good and spicy.
Pricing was not bad.
Atmosphere was warm and slightly intimate.
This restaurant is not on the strip and I was so impressed with the quality of food, the standard of service and the price.
Our waitress Cayla was so amazing, managing the whole restaurant on her own , mixing the delicious cocktails and was such a champion of the food!
We had: The Chicken Dumplimg .. with green curry, chilli oil, shallots, Thai basil and crispy chicken skin. The dumplings were soft and slippery and perfect amount of spicy!
Japanese Savory pancake : shrimp, gochugaru, green cabbage, homemade okonomiake sauce? Kewpie mayo and bonito flakes. So pretty .. my husband loved the savoury flavours.
Fried Whole Rainbow Trout
Sautéed rainbow swisschard, steamed rice, ginger and rice wine vinegar sauce. … just loved the fragrant brothy sauce and the fish was so tender and perfect!
Vegan Vietnamese Sautéed glass noodles
And dessert .. the Tres Leches Cake with Coffee Crème and Pour over of Tres Leches. … the best dessert ever! So tasty .. I hate wasted calories and these were well worth it!
Presentation was beautiful and most of all the food was so flavourful and felt different from the usual generic menus you see in most restaurants.
We got to meet the chef and the whole experience felt so special and a highlight of our trip ❤️
I have already told so many friends in Vegas about this amazing restaurant
On the other hand, the duck crispy rice salad was a bit too salty for me. The sauce overpowered the flavor, and the rice wasn’t as crispy as I had hoped. The deep-fried trout was also nicely presented, but again, a bit too salty, and the veggies underneath were weighed down by too much sauce.
The atmosphere was modern and inviting, and the service was attentive and friendly. While some dishes didn’t quite hit the mark for my taste, the highlights were excellent, and I can see why the restaurant is a favorite for many.
Jamie changes her menu seasonally so you won’t get bored of the small menu. She bartends and serves herself so if you get the chance and she is not too busy, make sure to have a chat with her, she is very down to earth and personable.
We will surely be back for her creations soon!
If you want a lighter dinner you could order just appetizers for two and be satisfied. Lots of good options and usually a special one off menu. Could split a meal too if you’re decently hungry. Meals are good size so careful not to overdo it on the apps.
Asian inspired recipes for most dishes but has a broader feel than a traditional Asian restaurant. Like the oxtail empanadas for example or the charcuterie. So almost anyone can find dishes they like even if they aren’t huge Asian food fans.
Friend had the duck confit with couscous and it was delicious. I had the short ribs with a fried egg and rice. Also very good but a lot of rice and a bit heavy after our multiple appetizers. If you get a heavy dinner (beef dish) go light on the appetizers or vice versa.
Cocktails looked good, clever and well made.
They get busy by 6ish so recommend a reservation. Not a huge place but good amount of tables. Nice decor, music just the right loudness to have a conversation. Service can be a little slow if busy so give yourself time.
By all means go here with your partner, good friends, and visiting guests. Won’t disappoint, well done.
We have been wanting to try this place for a long time, ever since we saw the chef on top chef.
Unfortunately this place didn’t live up to the hype or the price point. Way over priced for the quality/quantity of food we received.
The hamachi appetizer we tried had two extremely small thin pieces of fish, as thin as smoked salmon you would find on a bagel. Then it was smothered in a sauce and covered with a bunch of micro greens.
I ordered the short rib with kimchi fried rice. The meat was delicious and tender and the fried egg was cooked perfect. The kimchi fried rice was a sad pile of red mush with literally NO flavor.
My wife had the fried trout and although it was neat to look at and cooked well, it too had literally NO flavor. You can get a better fried fish at seafood city any day of the week. The Swiss chard on the plate was basically raw and the whole plate was drowning in some kind of sweet liquid.
I tried to get the waiters attention to ask for salt but had no luck. The staff although friendly, was very inattentive, to our table at least. We watched them hover around the other tables of older people, checking on them constantly making sure their every whim was attended too. Probably assuming they would get a better tip, jokes on them as my wife and I both had careers in the food industry for decades and reward quality service because we have both been there.
There was a bartender, who was acting as a waiter and a host acting as a runner.
It took an eternity to get all of our dishes and the whole meal took over an hour and a half and the majority of that time was spent waiting!
The drinks were watered down and extremely sweet and again took a very long time to arrive.
We felt the price point was FAR TOO HIGH for the quantity and quality of the food we received.
Overall this was a HUGE disappointment and I can safely say that we have no desire to return!
