Family owned restaurant. This was our first time eating at this Mexican restaurant. We enjoyed the meal. Portions were good. My fish tacos were made from cod fish. I really enjoyed the rice and vegetables that accompanied the meal. The table guacamole was liked by half of our party. The flautas and taquitos were delicious. We also had the albóndigas which was tasty. They also offered chips and salsa for the table. The salsa had good flavor and spice.

I’m not really a fan of their food — it’s like Taco Bell wanted to be better but failed in every way. The food is cheap and the atmosphere is dive bar. They apparently take reservations despite being nearly totally empty on a Friday…

Lots of lunch specials. I had a chicken burrito with salsa and cheese. Came with salad and rice. Plus an ice tea! Delicious! My 2 friends had lunch specials too!

Love the staff here, singing while they work (good voices), smiling, friendly, very welcoming, funny, helpful with food questions, great on refills (drinks & chips), and quick with orders.
The restaurants decor is very upbeat and inviting, colorful and traditional, love the pictures and art on the walls.
Food is consistently good, nicely seasoned, always well cooked, good portions.

Hubby got the Gordo Plate…1 beef hard taco, 1 cheese enchilada (good sauce), 1 beef tamale, 1 chili relleno (huge relleno), rice & beans…a WHOLE LOT of food…he never finishes it
I tried the Pescado de la Perilla, excellent sauce they make for it, sooo tasty! It was lightly battered cod perfectly fried (light and flakey), sautéed seasoned veggies seasoned beautifully, and rice. Just enough but still light.

We ordered take out. Got the gigante salad with shredded beef and 3 item combo. They also gave us a bag of chips and salsa. It took longer than the 20 minutes they told us over the phone, but the order was exactly right and delicious! We were very happy. I LOVE their salsa. It’s not too spicy, but nice pieces of onion and cilantro in it. Their beans and shredded beef are also great. We will for sure be back. They have “dine in” at their parking lot with some easy ups and foldable chairs and tables as well.

I wanted to find a local place that serves vegetarian beans and I am happy to have found Pancho’s! The bean and cheese burrito is flavorful and it came with a fresh salsa that was so good. The portions were generous and the staff was kind and warm.

Food was good. Portion sizes are big. If you are small eater and don’t like to waste food, you can order 2 dishes and share among 3. Definitely recommend the pancakes and Flan. They made a mistake with my omelet order though, and offered to replace it when I mentioned it. But when I said I was okay without it, they gave me a complimentary dessert. The only reason I took a star off was because of the long wait time for food. This was Sunday brunch.

If i could give 10 stars, I would!! This place is under rated. The food is authentic and delicious. The service was impeccable. Really cute little bar and Mexican deco is beautiful. This seriously is a must go place. Best carnitas michoacan style i have had. The Charro beans were the best.

A friend and I were on a golf trip (after attending a conference in San Diego); were looking for Mexican food and Pancho’s was highly rated on Yelp. So, we put the address into the nav on our rental and had dinner on Saturday (Sep. 3).

We were served chips and a very good salsa, thick, rich and just the right amount of heat for us. I had a Corona to start and we ordered the Gordo Platter and the La Especial De Leo. The Gordo platter came with a hard shelled taco, a tamale, an enchilada and a chile relleno; it was a huge serving of food! My friend said the tamale was the star of the plate and liked everything. I sampled the chile relleno as it’s a favorite of mine …. I thought the egg coating was too thick as it masked the taste of the chile; it was more an egg omelet to me.

I was looking for shrimp diablo but it wasn’t on the menu so I tried the La Especial De Leo; a grilled steak with shrimp in a garlic butter sauce. It came with rice and a mélange of vegetables. The steak was tender and the shrimp was fine. No complaints about anything with this dish.

What did we think? We had dinner at another place one night earlier and Pancho’s is much better. The prices are very reasonable, the service is good and we liked the atmosphere. To us it’s an old school Mexican restaurant … recommended!
