This location is completely incompetent at night. I’m not sure what happened because it used to be a great firehouse. The wait times are 20 mins minimum no matter what you get or when you order. And you have to pray that it’s made the way you ordered it and still warm. I’m no longer will be ordering from this location.

Waited 45 minutes for food. Finally go in the store to get my food and it’s just sitting there. I then get home to realize they made the order completely wrong. A basic menu item not even made properly. No add ons, just the basic order and it was still wrong. I’ve worked at a firehouse and can honestly say this is the worst ran firehouse I’ve ever step foot in. Jersey mikes would neverrrrrr!!!!

Staff is welcoming and friendly, but the orders are generally messed up. Can never add onion to the salad as requested, and can’t omit lettuce from the sandwich as requested. EVER. No problem when I dine there, as they will fix the issue. But pick up orders are maddening.

Title: Total Breakdown in Management and Basic Operations — Firehouse Subs Powdersville
I’ve been to Firehouse Subs locations all across the country, and I can confidently say this was the worst-run store I’ve ever visited. My experience at the Powdersville location (3427 Highway 153, Piedmont, SC 29673 – Store #1245) was an absolute failure of management, training, and basic service standards.
We placed our order at 6:33 PM for dine-in. Normally, Firehouse Subs follows a clear, professional process: they ask whether you’re eating in or taking out, take your name, and then call out your name when your order is ready. Dine-in meals are served in baskets, while to-go orders are neatly bagged and labeled. It’s an efficient system that keeps everything organized.
At this location, none of those procedures were followed. They didn’t call any names, didn’t use order numbers, and didn’t label or separate dine-in from takeout. Every single order—dine-in and to-go alike—was bagged up in identical brown paper bags with no receipts attached, left sitting on the counter. Customers were expected to play the honor system, guessing which bag was theirs.
Sure enough, a couple who ordered after us simply grabbed our food and left. We told the staff right away, but instead of apologizing or remaking our food promptly, they spent the next fifteen minutes doing nothing. By the time we hit the 30-minute mark, when I asked about our order, the manager brushed me off and said they were “making it now,” while several online orders were being prioritized ahead of us.
The most disappointing part was how the manager handled the situation. He refused to give his name, the store number, or even the address when I asked how to contact corporate. When I requested a refund for our drinks—of which I had taken only a few sips—he refused again, with an attitude that made it clear he had no interest in resolving the issue or taking responsibility.
This entire fiasco could have been resolved in five minutes with a sincere apology and a remake of our sandwiches. Instead, we were treated dismissively while the staff demonstrated a total lack of training or accountability. Firehouse Subs usually delivers reliability and quality service—this store failed on every front.
If corporate cares about brand consistency and customer experience, they need to take a hard look at how this location is being run. It’s a disservice to loyal customers and to the company’s reputation.

First time at this location went and placed a drive thru order the young gentleman didn’t advise me it would be a 15-20 min wait for food my son had an aau practice that we would be late too because of miscommunication he said the lady would take my order here in the next minute waited 5 she comes to the window to let me know that it would be the 15-20 min window for the food I’m like at this point go ahead I asked why I wasn’t informed on the wait time when I pulled up and had to already wait 5 mins for someone to take my order she said he didn’t know already frustrated I said okay well I waited the time frame I was given why when I get to the window she is yelling nope not getting the window a nice young lady very professional asked me what I wanted for the drink she didn’t ask to begin with and gave me my food with no problem when I got my food my sub was made correctly and warm but the fries was completely cold for me to have waited that long needless to say worst location and worst service I would rather go to subway

One thing I like about Firehouse is a consistent product that taste great, no matter where you are. The Powdersville Firehouse is no exception. All three of our sandwiches were phenomenal. The restaurant was relatively clean with only the Drink Machine in need of attention. All-in-all, this location represented the brand well and I would definitely visit again if I am back in this part of the country.

App isn’t working correctly, called to put in an order and spoke to AI assistant and she couldn’t get it right, then it forwarded me to someone that wasn’t even in the store she couldn’t get it right so she placed me on hold and I hung up. So then I decided to just go to the drive thru instead and a guy comes to the window doesn’t say anything I tell him I’m there to place a togo order, he doesn’t say anything just shuts the window and never comes back. I waited for 10 mins and then drove off.

I haven’t written a review EVER. But I love Powdersville and I want the service around here to be kind. I felt like I put them out by being here at 5:30. There was only one other person here. Restaurants was dirty and sadly there wasn’t much redeeming about our food and I typically love firehouse.
