If you are blessed with the sense of taste, you particularly should go and enjoy the incredible flavors that all the dishes have at Flyover. Every dish that I’ve ever ordered here has always been very pleasing and satisfying. It’s very apparent that a lot of the heart, soul and mind was put into the creation of every dish. This last time we ordered the pretzels (which were perfectly creamy with warm Boursin cheese with walnuts, cranberries, thyme and honey that you’d scoop onto the most delicious soft and warm pretzel bread), Fettuccine Bolognese (perfect bolognese taste), Rueben Me The Right Way (an open faced Rueben sandwich topped with an OE egg over 2 corned beef patties, braised red cabbage, Swiss cheese and a few other equally delicious contributing ingredients) and finally the Blackened Redfish (smothered in a brandy cream sauce consisting of crawfish tails, sweet corn and red bell pepper with brined peppercorns and other ingredients served over a bed of grits). Every dish, each in their own way, was absolutely delicious.
The service is always impeccable. Our server, Tim, remembered us from the last time we came here and he had been our server then too. He was very attentive, friendly and possesses every positive attribute of an exceptional server. The beverage options are equally grand, the restaurant is very cozy and I loved all the decor.
The Flyover is definitely one of my all time favorites.

Very nice atmosphere with super delicious food! Service was also fantastic. Went here for my partner’s birthday and it was nice! Sadly they are strict on omissions. We wanted to try a noodle dish that sounded SO good…but we don’t eat pork and they wouldn’t allow the omission. However, everything else we tried was delicious! Smaller servings so you’ll have to order a few plates. Definitely would recommend.

We arrived at about 8pm on a Friday night at was able to sit at the bar immediately. Ethan, the host, was very warm and welcoming as was every staff we interacted with. Everyone really seemed to enjoy working there which is very rare. The bartenders were awesome! My wife and I had a tom collins and smoked old fashioned and they were so good. It was a lot of fun watching the bartenders make the drinks. We ordered the cauliflower (superb flavors and pairings!), the cheese pizza (the crust was so good!) and then finished with the cheesecake (very interesting pairings but so good!). I finished off with a coffee and cannot say enough about this place.

Flyover was great! Loved how simple the menu was. Service was solid overall but wasn’t an “incredible” level on our Tuesday night. Our server was kind and helpful whenever we asked. Loved both on our cocktails both alcoholic and NA. The smoked midwestern was awesome. Definitely looking forward to coming again.

Found this gem while stopping over in Columbus, MO. Friendly staff to try and accommodate us at 9pm. We sat at the bar. We ordered the Bread and Butter which was a great start and a must try!

We ordered the Burnt End of the Line pizza and Midwest Carnitas. The pizza crust was so good. I was expecting BBQ but it wasnt, at least I dont think so. I cant pick out the layers of flavors. The Carnitas you had to take with each bite of silky sweet potato puree. Then the Lemon Pistachio Cake, oh have mercy! My husband took a bite and just said Oh Wow, one of the best, balanced desserts we’ve ever had!

Go! Eat! Enjoy!

We don’t frequent Columbia’s culinary scene too often (being from Austin, TX), but anytime we are able to venture north and visit family here, Flyover has become an absolute must.

The food is fantastic. Period. Having grown up in “these here parts” and years later building a palette for amazing food in ATX, this is a place that stands so much taller than most restaurants in this part of the state.

Seriously. You can’t go wrong with the pretzels, mac and cheese, catfish, any pizza, or the many other tasty options they keep fresh by changing the menu every so often. Cocktails are equally awesome and the service consistently provides a level of professionalism / team work that is so very apparent.

The evening started with some humor too as a host walked into the patio screen door, but took it like a champ, bouncing right back into action in spite of our trying to hold laughter in.

You can’t go wrong with Flyover. Stop reading and head that way now.

Food and service were excellent. We especially recommend the pretzels! The espresso martini was made with some chai syrup, giving it a delicious flavor. The restaurant was a little loud but the open layout is fun, watching orders being whisked away to tables. I used to work for Chef Adam’s mom and I know Kathleen is proud of all he has accomplished.

Flyover was an incredible stop for dinner! Everything was delicious and the service was top notch! The restaurant has a cool vibe with the kitchen in the main dining area, I must say sitting at the bar here is the way to go.

For food, I recommend the Midwestern “Carnitas”. For you gluten free eaters, give the Lookin’ Marvelous Mr. Maui and try (make sure to ask for it gluten free). Both of these dishes were incredible.

Expect somewhere around 18-25 per plate, but totally worth it!

*NOTE THAT WE DID NOT GET TO EAT HERE.
They say reservations recommended but they are really RESERVATIONS ONLY. We arrived between 4:30-4:45 and went to the host table. We had 2 kids and a car seat in tow. They asked if we had a reservation. We did not. We were told it would be after 8pm before we could be seated. I don’t think they wanted children there or maybe not us in particular. But after being told it would be a hilarious 4 HOUR WAIT I realized they were subtly asking us to leave. It was uncomfortable and I won’t go again where I’m unwanted.

Also, half the tables in the restaurant were empty.

Service was extremely pleasant, prompt, and professional. We ordered the Orecchiette con Salsiccia e Arancia, Char Siu Pork, and Blueberry Thyme cake. The food was phenomenal. We will be back.
