Since 2018, we welcome Chef Philip Guardione and his Sicilian kitchen, Piccola Cucina. Philip cooks authentic Sicilian food which is an amalgam of Italian cuisine influenced by all the cultures that found Sicily as their crossroads. Simple, fresh ingredients authentically prepared suit the local environment of Red Lodge. At Ox Pasture X Piccola Cucina, we are at the heart of Red Lodge’s artisan food scene, the locally raised world class beef is featured alongside produce and herbs raised in area farms. We work directly with the local farmers and ranchers to obtain the freshest and most seasonally appropriate ingredients.

Out of this world! Cozy, charming, family-style dining with authentic Italian flavors in the heart of downtown Red Lodge. Many ingredients are flown in from Italy and their location New York to make this place sooooo legit!!!! The calamari appetizer should not be missed. Any of the pastas will knock your socks off (highly recommend the pappardelle with mushrooms)! Make a reservation for an unforgettable meal and you’ll almost certainly have leftovers!

They are so lovely and knowledgeable about food here!! Highly recommend the grilled octopus. It’s a huge portion and perfectly seasoned. I forgot to ask for my waiter’s name, but he was great. He recommended the chocolate mousse, and it was to die for.

Piccola Cucina is truly the best restaurant in town.
After a long day at Yellowstone Park a friend asked a police officer about a good place for dinner, and he didn’t hesitate to name Piccola cucina. He said, “it is the best place here, and it is also good for a large group”.
What a great recommendation. So, I’m going to do the same for you. The service here was excellent, everything came out of the kitchen perfectly and in a timely manner. Keep in mind we were nearly 30 people. Everything was done to perfection.
The food options are incredible and portions are huge. I just took a few pictures but anything you pick will be delicious. The pasta was al dente and the seafood was delicate and seasoned perfectly.
Prices are moderate and according to most in the area. The wine list is not pretentious and has good wines. The dessert, tiramisu, was made table side and it was incredibly delicious . Always a good choice.
I strongly recommend coming here, you will not be disappointed.

We are 10 women who have been friends for 35+ staying in the Red Lodge area. We decided to go to dinner at Piccola Cucina. It was a glorious fun heartfelt evening. From Edwin, who made sure our food was brought out timely, wine glasses poured evenly and answered all our questions patiently. To the food and the atmosphere. Pulling the entire restaurant customers together in laughter, music and fun to having intimate conversations at our table. All of it wonderful. We’ll be back again, all of us.
