Another snowy day so I returned to get a breakfast sandwich and their Apple turnover. I don’t think I’ll have breakfast sandwiches in the same way. Here, they make frittatas in advance then heat up your choice and place it in their wonderful bread. More expensive but you get twice as much food and it’s really delicious. I got the veggie with cheese added. The apple turnover looks beautiful and loo forward to having it later. I also had to buy more of their crumb cake. Add to it is the best service!

A nice old school Italian bakery with delicious sub sandwiches for a reasonable price. I ordered a small eggplant parm and small chicken salad, and the small serving is plenty. I also got the small pizza (reminds me a little of party pizza in RI) and the coffee cake (based on another reviewer’s recommendation). Filling and delicious, and my go-to for a place that’s within walking distance. And, yes, it’s a good idea to know in advance what you want but today there wasn’t a line due to going mid-afternoon during snow flurries .

My friend and I tried this place and was shocked on how delicious everything was. I’m a picky eater so I wasn’t ready. I regret not getting more. First, we got the 9 foot breaded chicken, pesto, arugula, and olive olive dressing. We substituted the cheese with tomatoes. It was absolutely delicious. The pesto and the chicken was amazing. Very flavorful. It was the best best. I saw the meatballs and wanted to just try one. I’m not a red sauce girl, I love pesto. So i said no to the sauce. The meatballs was delicious. Filled with flavor. I was pleasantly surprised. I decided to go for one of their baked goods. Best decision i ever made. I had the apple turnover. Let me tell you something. That is something you need to try. It was flaky, delicious and perfect. My only regret is not ordering more food there.

Great, great bakery and deli!! It’s a small space, full of delicious food and other goodies. Lots of people ordering sandwiches, but they are super fast and the wait is not long. We ordered an Italian hero, which was huge with a generous serving of meats and cheese. We also purchased outstanding coffee cake (so moist!!) and a hard Italian bread that we immediately snacked on – fresh and crispy!

This is the sandwich I dream about when I’m not in Jersey and always my first stop when home. Figure out your order before it’s your turn, these folks are busy. Pepperoni bread and coffee cake are the best I’ve ever tried, and the chicken cutlets are perfection. Try some cherry pepper spread on your sandwich if you like a little heat. They also sell their pizza dough to make your friends think you’re a much better baker than you are, and it freezes well. Seriously, just got back from Italy and am still craving Nicolo’s.
