My fiancé stopped by 3 Queens on the way home from work . He got there at about 3:15pm and they didn’t open until 4pm (On a Monday). We agreed to wait until they opened because we were really craving soul food ! And believe me when I say , you will NOT be disappointed !! We are huge foodies and have eaten at about every restaurant in Charlotte/ surrounding towns just to try new foods. This hidden gem is by far one of the best soul food restaurants I’ve had. Although, the food was great! I will say ,I didn’t care for them opening at 4pm and my fiancé still had to wait another 25 -30 mins to order due to prepping I assume ?! ( too long for take out ) In my opinion, I think if you all open at a certain time then you should be ready to serve . Perhaps come in earlier then opening to prep etc. Yet still I highly recommend 10/10.

Wow! This place is so good. I tried the shepherd’s pie which was probably the best I’ve had. The green beans were sooooo good. Collards were great and the baked chicken was very tender and juicy.

This place is a MUST! First time here and it was incredible. Between the stew beef, the smothered chops, and the fried chicken, there were no complaints from anyone at the table. The macaroni and collards were a 10/10…will be returning.

Drove from Albemarle and they were not open. Got there at 1pm. Google says they’re open 12pm-7pm on Sunday’s. Phone number goes straight to voicemail. They should have a Facebook page or Instagram stating which Sunday’s they will be closed, since they’re only open on Sunday’s.

I showed up after the Sunday lunch rush, i wanted tenders, but fortunately they were out. Yes, fortunately.
I got the meatloaf, and it’s just like mom used to make. Mac and cheese was out of this world. Got my food quick, staff was wonderful.

Wow!! The restaurant is exceptionally clean! The staff was so friendly, and all with beautiful smiles!
I tried the smothered chops (added sauteed onions and mushrooms by request), yams, macaroni and cheese and the corn muffins! All. A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! The serving portions are generous, everything was flavored with balance and I’m stuffed. I especially loved the yams (cinnamon-y sweetness)!
My husband tried the fried chicken, greens and macaroni and cheese and enjoyed it too! Even my toddler had to steal some. Lol! It was a much needed change.
The only downside is that it did take a little bit for the food to get ready however there is no rushing quality. 🙂

Restaurant is really clean and customer service is great. The person at the counter is always smiling and nice. We just didn’t really enjoy the food, maybe because we’re not used to soul food but everything was a little too sweet. Cornbread makes sense sweet but mac N cheese and fried chicken? Idk if was a little too sweet for us, not savory as we were expected. It was super hot and freshly made and stuff, just not for us. Will try to come again for sure and no one should knock it because of this review, it just wasn’t for us.

Collard greens are worth this review. They’re great, as was all the other food I ordered. The location is easy to miss, and I drove by too many times before trying it. Don’t make my mistake! Cost to portion ratio was a great value.

I normally do not leave reviews, but this one I feel like I need too. The service was not great. I like soul food on occasion and since I just filled up with gas and saw the sign, Next-door I thought I should give it a try. Folks, you would not believe the prices in this place for three people it was $85.00 for lunch. The cashier overcharged, my wife and he had to call one of the owners. They only adjusted the bill two dollars when it should’ve been six dollars. Being a former country club manager, I do know prices when it comes to Food and beverage. I could’ve gone to a nice linen and tablecloth restaurant for that much money we spent. To top it off the food wasn’t that great Doubtful, I will return. The only thing I can say it was a very clean atmosphere.
