The people here could not be nicer, let’s get that right, but I have to be fair to the food when I review so newcomers know what to prepare for.

As cheap as the special is here, you can’t expect artisan pizza. And the special is CHEAP for 2 huge pieces of pizza with a healthy portion of toppings. However, there was SO much grease on my smaller pizza and on of the big slices my wife got the dough was wet, not in the least bit crispy or even cooked it seemed.

One of the big pepperoni slices has thicker crust that had been baked crispy enough that it actually tasted good and held up well under all the toppings. We still had to use napkins to get all the grease off the top, but again, this isn’t artisan pizza.

That being said, I couldn’t stomach more than 2 slices of the smaller meat lovers pizza. The grease gave me a stomach ache instantly. I took it home so a lot of the grease could soak into the box (it couldn’t hardly soak in, there was so much it pooled up on top) and reheated it in a toaster oven to crisp the crust up. It was definitely better this way, but still ridiculously greasy in the middle after losing so much grease already.

This place has potential, and for the price of the special we’ll give it another try sometime, but we waited nearly an hour for our food bc our order was entered wrong and they still charged us full price for pizza that quite frankly was far too greasy to be good. If they could figure out how to get 75% of the grease out and get their crust crispy, this place could be incredible.

Their pizza is made with quality ingredients, the staff is very friendly and they offer delivery.
We got the chicken bacon ranch and the 20″ The Pop. The Pop feeds 10 people and has a TON of toppings
If you are in the area, this place is a must for you to try

This was the best quality of pizza I have eaten since I can remember. This business was recommended by Big Poppas BBQ. The service was very friendly. The cost was on point with other pizza companies. Our pizza was loaded with toppings and prepared for us much faster than I have seen anywhere. My family and I will definitely be ordering here much more often. Thank you for setting such high standards for quality food.

The pizza was far better than I had initially expected. I wish the wait time was a bit shorter, but it’s worth it for such good pizza!

Now on to something a bit more important, the prices.

The prices here aren’t as egregious as other places, but they aren’t exactly what I’d call cheap either. This definitely isn’t a place to being the whole family to unless you have enough money to cover the 16 inch pizza(s).

*I will add a photo of their take-home menu that features their current prices as of Early February 2020

Had to run some errands the other day and got a craving for pizza for lunch, someplace we could dine in while it was hot. Had heard of Arkansas River Pizza Company in Pottsville but had not been there so we thought we’d check it out. Good decision. Very good pizza and a broad menu with calzones, sandwiches, pastas, salads and a wide selection of ice creams for dessert. The inside dining area is small but was distanced as much as possible and there are big picnic tables on a covered front porch. They have drive-thru as well and will deliver to Russellville for small charge. If you want a short drive on a pretty day for a good lunch or a cold treat, check it out.

Although the meat releases it’s juices when cooked, some folks use the word grease…. one in particular said it 15 times. Dude, learn to understand the science and chemistry of pizza.

Now that I’m off my soapbox let’s get down to it.

I’m a New Yorker, which by default mean I’m an expert when it comes to pizza. Don’t even try to argue, it’s a god given talent and the truth.

The ARPC staff could not have been friendlier, and their food had that “taste”. You know the kind that you remember and crave again and again.

Pizzas are great, sandwiches are amazing and the shakes are made with real local Arkansas produced shake mix…

I hear they are getting a soft serve machine and I can’t wait to come back and try the amazing flavors that I know the owners will have for us all..

Bottom line “Don’t Miss”
