Then within 3-4 minutes our man course arrived, a variety of 6 different tacos.
The corn chowder appetizer was delicious and all the tacos were quite good.
I would highly recommend the Barbacoa taco as this one was by far our favourite.
Overall great food and impressively fast service.
Service: Food came out really quick and all the employees were very nice!
Atmosphere: I liked the mountain small town vibe, with the outdoor seating and smaller interior. The one thing was that the bathrooms upstairs I couldn’t find and it just led to like another sort of kitchen looking area.
Overall: It was a good lunch spot for our breck day trip.
We ordered several tacos. My personal favorite was the beef fajita tacos. My husband loved the pork belly tacos.
The waiter was quite rude and just slammed serving plate of tacos on my used first plate without even bothering to remove nor wanted to even after being hesitant to be served that way.
From the start, our server made it clear he wasn’t pleased. When we tried ordering basic cocktails like vodka cranberry, Moscow mule, gin and tonic, and bourbon and Coke, we were told none were available — apparently it’s a tequila-only bar, which wasn’t communicated until after multiple failed attempts to order. When I tried ordering a tequila sunrise, the server responded with frustration, told me to “check the menu,” and walked away mid-conversation. After that, every interaction felt tense and unfriendly.
The drinks were extremely poorly made. Mine (tequila with lime and grapefruit) tasted like straight lime juice. Others at the table had margaritas so salty that the flavor was completely off. At $17+ per drink, this was very disappointing.
The food didn’t make up for it. Tacos had dry tortillas, and one of our group ordered duck that didn’t resemble duck at all. Overall, everything felt rushed and low quality for the price.
The final issue was the check. We split it several ways, and when my bill came, it was $31 for one drink. After I questioned it, the server discovered two food items from someone else were mistakenly added. While he did show me the itemized receipt, it was handled as if the mistake was our fault. At that point, I didn’t want to go through reversing charges, so I just paid and left.
Between the attitude, poor drinks, overpriced menu, and billing errors, this was a very disappointing experience, especially in a town that thrives on tourism. I would not recommend this place.
Looking at recent reviews, it seems that this has gone down the drain. We used to love coming to this place, and unfortunately we’ll never be back.
