Ordered the 12th street special sandwich. Might be the best chicken cutlet sandwich I’ve ever had. The cutlets were so thin and crispy and all the topping tasted very fresh. The bread was definitely the best part of the sandwich. Definitely gonna be back for more food here.

I have greater expectations for an $18 Italian chicken cutlet sandwich. Having living in Jersey my whole life they generally have at least 3-4 cutlets per sandwich. There was one and the bread was meh. Bread to cutlet ratio has to be way better.

The shore is lucky to have a deli like this nearby. The sandwiches were excellent and the quality too. I have been following Vito’s on Instagram all winter and was so excited to get in town to try it out. We will be back. Additionally there are frozen treats in the freezer. We bought these little custard cups. This has to be homemade bc they were not branded but in a clear plastic container. The owner said it was like an almond frozen cream. OMG!!! was all we kept saying as we ate it. The entire house was like what is this?!??I haven’t seen anyone write about these little gems on here. This ice cream was like crack lol. Heaven in a cup! See pic for reference!

I recently bought cold cuts. When I opened the sliced provolone there was black and red specs all over the slices. I cleaned them off. The ham seemed OK until I opened both a few days later. Both cold cuts had holes in them. I immediately threw them out. I suggest you clean your counter and slicing machine. Very disappointed to say the least!

The last time I went this summer? There were literally Flies all over uncovered food on the counters?! Chicken Cutlets and everything else they literally pick off of and make their sandwiches with. The place also smells like Cigarette smoke as other reviews stated. How the Board of Health hasn’t shut them down is beyond me. They did apologize and refund the money right away, but I could never eat here again and hopefully cleanliness type standards are put into place immediately.

I recently visited Vito’s Sandwich Shop and unfortunately, my experience was not as great as I had hoped. While the sandwiches were decent, I couldn’t find any prices on the menu, and I was shocked to find out they were nearly $20 each.
What really turned me off, though, was the unpleasant smell of cigarettes that filled the air, coming from the cooking staff smoking right next to the door. It was particularly concerning as I had my wife and two small children with me, and it made for an uncomfortable dining atmosphere.
Overall, while the food was okay, I wouldn’t choose to return, mainly due to the smoke issue.

Amazing Italian food! I ordered the Caesar salad with the Mario sandwich. The Mario sandwich is a grilled chicken sandwich with broccoli rabe, shaved sharp provolone & extra virgin olive oil. It was filled with flavor, and it was big. The Caesar salad was very good. I would come here again!

Tried Vitos for first time and had a great meal on the deck on a Sunday night. We didn’t have a reservation but they were able to fit us in. Food is A+ and people were as well. Really enjoyed it and highly recommend. It’s BYOB so plan accordingly.

This is one of the best sandwiches you can get! High quality ingredients and delicious combinations. Everyone that works there is super nice as well. They’re a local business we’re happy to support. Give them a try… You won’t be disappointed!
