Locally-owned and operated, traditional Mexican restaurant. We use fresh, local ingredients. Our recipes were handed down from generation to generation (actually at least three generations) and we are fortunate to have learned them from cooking side-by-side with Mexico’s best chef, our Mother Doña Reyna, as she is known in the small town of Matamoros Puebla.

Don’t be fooled by the lack of fanfare and ambiance – Reyna’s Taqueria is quite literally a hidden gem, tucked away in the dying Sarasota Square mall. These are some of the best street tacos in the metro. I was extremely impressed with the quality of the ingredients. I would personally recommend the carnitas and barbacoa, as they were juicy and seasoned to perfection! But I doubt you can go wrong with any others. Friendly staff and open kitchen are always a plus! 10/10.

Great food! Highly recommend. It’s definitely not a fancy place to eat, but the food is actually pretty good. We came here on a Friday night and ordered some tacos, which were amazing. The staff was very friendly, and the food came out very quickly. It’s a bit strange to be in an empty mall food court, but if you can get past that, the food is very enjoyable. I ordered the steak chorizo plate, and ate every last bit — it was that good.

Great flavors, some pretty authentic Mexican food. Very tasty and good prices. I enjoy their tacos and sopes. Fast and friendly service. The only downsides are that they only use plastic silver and styrofoam containers; also, if you dine-in, you’ll be eating in the abandoned mall food court and there isn’t really any air conditioning.

Just visited Reyna’s after my Costco visit.
WOW! So delicious, the best tacos I’ve had in the 2 years since moving to the area. I had the grouper taco and the carnitas taco. Both generous servings and fresh and delicious! What a great surprise to find in the newly refreshed food court.

Fantastic taqueria, and very unassuming being in a deserted food court just near the AMC theater. I will say they are bold opening this little taco shop in that location but if anyone can bring people in it will be Reyna’s.
I will say the steak taco is fantastic.The salsa is smokey and full of flavor. The chips are ok but if the chips are fresh, the chips and salsa is great as a side. We have tried the carnitas tacos and the shrimp, both are very good but the steak is well worth the $3. Black beans and rice are separate items and a little overpriced for what you get, especially the rice which was a very small portion for $3.75, and the beans were good but still small for the price of $3.75.
The portion size is hit or miss, the first time we went the tacos were packed, the second time not so much. I would be interested in trying the main location in Sarasota one day.

Really Good for Mall food. Thank goodness a restaurant is in here again . Someplace to eat if your going to the movies or shopping in one of the few stores left in this desolate depressing mall. Steak taco had generous meat on it. Grilled onions cilantro and Horchata was very flavorful
