Very convenient location. Nice atmosphere inside. Large windows are good. Relatively lots of space to sit. Priced as any other Starbucks. Fast service and good quality. Only negative that about 45 min prior to closing they removed all bakery from display. There was enough of prepackaged food on display. Nothing local is sold there. They should try better to connect better with community.
Clean bathroom. Due to location there was always a line.
We liked upper level a lot. There is good sized parking lot behind building. $3 per hour. Seems pricy but is right for the area.

McKayla is more than a barista, she’s an incredible human being! She was taking out the trash in the pouring rain when she noticed me struggling to get in the door with my larger stroller. She stopped what she was doing to make sure my son and I got in safely. She goes above and beyond to make sure all customers are happy before they even enter Starbucks- that’s an incredibly wonderful thing to have in an employee!

Quite busy Starbucks in season. The store manager should pay more attention to cleanliness and simplify the customer journey. I was lucky to get a Rhode Island mug. 🙂

Besides #Starbucks being my landmark anywhere in the world , I love my #matchalatte, and i love to drop in a word or two when i am out of my hometown. I love the location of this one Thames St in Newport, RI. I like it when they are housed in old buildings where u never think it would be. Pretty cute, for lack of a better word, when they are, i think. The staff here were nice. And besides getting my name wrong altogether, which i found to be so amusing, my Thames experience was par for the course – matcha latte gotten right . Got my fix for the day

I had to try the gingerbread latte. It was very good. I try to avoid big chains, usually hitting the independent stores.
But the coffee was good and the service good.

Went to this outlet when I was around town. The store is massive with a separate floor dedicated for people to read/work. The baristas were excellent at their job and were very polite.

This is the dirtiest Starbucks I’ve ever been to. But I’m sure it has potential for improvement. Great people here.

I spent a month and a half at Newport, came to this Starbucks every single day. I’ve never seen an establishment that has so many problems, from unexpectedly closing and kicking all patrons out, to not having basic supplies like blue sweetener packets, that you can get at the grocery store, to payment register is not working, to not having half-and-half, which you can also get at the grocery store. Corporate really needs to review the management of this establishment, It is losing the franchisee money from poor management.
I have been to other of the worlds tourist hotspots Starbucks, and often find they are set up with dual serving lines, well train staff, an over abundance of staff, and rocking and rolling, making that franchisee money. This one is missing all that.
