The waitress adds to the experience. She’s super friendly and always remembers everyone’s orders!
Once my mother went to pay for the bill she didn’t put a tip.. she just didn’t want to do it on her card ..she was going to do it in cash. The waitress came back after my mom gave her the paper with a signature and card and said ‘you didn’t choose an option’ pointing to the tip section. My mom put zero and gave it to her. The lady proceeded to say oh well “you have to put something” and my mom looking confused said “uhm yeah I can’t put cash?” She said “oh okay ya ya that’s fine”. “You just have to put something” “it’s not included in the price” my mom was going to give her a heavier tip but after that interaction she gave her 4$. Let me make something very clear to everyone… tips are NEVER A REQUIREMENT. They are a SUGGESTION based off of service rendered. If I go to this establishment again which I don’t think I will..I don’t want to be greeted with rude attitudes and told I “have to put a tip because it’s not in the price”. Do better. If a single mom comes to treat herself to eat and can only afford the meal and not much else for a tip then respect that. We are all struggling in America right now. NOBODY IS ENTITLED TO TIPS.
Last night I ordered the vegetable lo mein. I first noticed that it was particularly salty, more salty than lo mein normally is. I continued to eat it, but then I tasted mold. I looked through the noodles I was eating and found a MOLDY NOODLE! I immediately felt sick and got up and left my husband to handle it.
When my husband brought it to their attention, they lied and said it was simply a “burnt” noodle. It was not. It was mold, I tasted it and visually saw it, as you can see in the photos. They fought with my husband, even brought the chef out, and insisted we pay for the MOLDY food. They threatened to call the police if he didn’t pay, so he did. However, we do not feel right about having to pay for food that made me sick for the rest of the night, was clearly moldy, and that we were not satisfied with. We also left two almost full plates of food, because we hadn’t been eating for very long before I found the mold, so we were not trying to get a free meal.
I will be contacting the Health Department Monday morning because if they will not check on the quality of their food when it is brought to their attention, I worry about what else they are ignoring, and feeding to hundreds of other customers.
We will never eat here again and are warning everyone we know not to eat here either.
