We chose to sit outside. A waitress walked past us to service the other table of 2 but did not acknowledge us. Even if you are not serving a table, it is okay to speak to guests who have not been serviced and inform them that someone will be with them shortly. We waited for about another 10 mins or so and a gentleman finally approached us. He was kind and took our order. Not sure if they were short staffed or what but there were hardly any customers in the restaurant so customer service was expected to be top notch in my opinion.
We chose the breakfast platter with biscuit, bacon and eggs, as well as the Birria Benedict. The bacon was overcooked and texture was leather-like, the biscuit was hard and inedible. The Birria Benedict however was really good! The Birria was flavorful and moist, the cornbread waffle was savory, soft yet crispy! The mimosa flight was also good.
This was difficult to rate due to the lacking customer service and the breakfast platter quality. Overall the experience was average.
The only complaint i experienced is service. Although our server was very nice and respectful, they do take a while to come to your table for drinks but also food takes a little more than the usual to come out.
God bless
They seated a group of 15 without a reservation quickly.
The waitress and management checked on us several times. The drinks and refills came fast and often.
Our group orders appetizers- one of just about everything- and they were all fantastic. We ordered several different main courses, again all delicious. I had the wagyu sirloin, it was tender and flavorful. The pull apart bread was also great. The potatoes were just potatoes.
We finished off the meal with just about every dessert on the menu, again all great! They are not kidding around with their dessert portions. No one was able to finished their dessert without help or a doggie bag.
Great place, will be back.
They handled 15 different checks at the end without complaint and handled it all quickly.
A single complaint, the weird mid back chairs at the counter height tables are not comfortable- especially when you are there for 2.5 hours. Avoid these tables if you can.
My friend had a sweet green salad for an appetizer, it was excellent. Crunchy and sweet.
For entrees I had the Southern Fried Chincken with mustard creme sauce, sweet potato mash w/ mexican corn, pickled red onions and cole slaw. My friend had the Rodeo Melt.
The chicken was fried to perfection – crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, but the Mustard Creme’ sauce sealed the deal. Never had anything like it before. With the sweet potato mash and the pickled red onions it was the perfect mix of sweet, salty and savory. I don’t like cole slaw, but theirs was awesome.
I tasted the Rodeo Melt and the mouth experience was a nice surprise – very smooth and perfectly cooked.
Service was a little slow because it was very busy, but Kim, the manager, came around several times to give us updates, then at the end thanked us for being patient. It didn’t feel like a burden because the staff was so friendly and we kept up an ongoing dialog.
I rate this near the top of my list for dining experiences. We were having a good time, so the staff was having a good time with us.
The atmosphere and the food reminded me of Stephen Pyles’ Stampede 66 in Fort Worth.
I would go back a hundred times over.
Oops, I forgot dessert. We had the flan and the ice cream taco. The flan was out of this world. Creme Brulee consistency with raspberries and blackberries on the side. The ice cream taco was a sight to behold and delicious also.
