Well to be transparent I was going to give this place a 3 star rating due to my previous experiences which dates back for years. However before I did, I thought I give them another try. And I gotta say everything was on point tonight (it was mediocre at best in the past). All the servers where friendly and helpful, and our food came out surprisingly fast. The quality definitely came up on the food grade for sure. Keep up on the consistency and I will have to revisit for a better review.

We went here based on a recommendation. I ordered Moo Goo Kai Pan for the first anywhere because it had white chicken. It had no taste and was really not good. My husband ordered Szeshawn pork which is suppose to be spicy but it wasn’t and had an orange sauce. The service was quick and friendly but don’t plan on coming back. Disappointing.

Wow. This was all around just a great experience. Every plate was very tasty and served fresh and hot. Although we had about 10 dishes ordered in our party I forget to take pics of them all. So I’ll comment on what my wife and I ordered. We both ordered combination plates, myself with the Hot and Sour Soup and wify with the Egg Drop Soup. We shared the Fried and Steamed rice. It also with a Fried Rangoon and Spring Roll. My plate had the Teriyaki Beef and Fried Shrimp. Both were just Awesome. The wife had the Teriyaki Chicken and Moo Goo Gai Pan. She really enjoyed it. All of the other dishes were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. Here are my take aways. Our server was polite and mindful enough to mention that order was very large for the amount of people. He helped us adjust it, taking off about 3 plates which was a bit hard as he would say, “oh that’s a good plate or plate too”. Pricing was a little a high, but quality and quantity made it fair to me. Their shrimp plates were wonderfully flavored and they used large shrimp as their meat source as apposed to other places I have visited that used pop corn shrimp. Lastly, although it was just a side, their Hot and Sour Soup was the best I’ve had. Great place to eat and a nice ambiance to boot.

I’ve eaten here for a number of years, and it’s been tasty, quick, and plentiful each time. I’ve had many dishes (curry chicken, lemon chicken, mushu, etc) and enjoyed them all. They are all well cooked and have great flavors. If you’re getting Asian food in Clifton, this is the place to get it!

Chin chins is always our go to when we want good food. The dumplings are huge and flavorful. The honey chicken is the perfect amount of sweet and salty. We love the sweet and sour chicken and the walnut shrimp. I love their egg drop and the hot and sour soup. The salad dressing is so good I think it is a sesame ginger sauce

Great Chinese restaurant to know to drop in when cruising by the area on the highway. Better than most, especially if some patience is given to resolve an issue, and one takes a moment to count a takeout order and request any needed adjustments, you should be quite happy with this recommendation. Does the name come from the cooks all grazing on the food while working and becoming hefty to have double chins? I don’t believe so.
American Chinese restaurants are very different from Chinese food in China, except in some tourist locations. Chin Chin has a nice feature in that they keep an authentic element while appropriately catering to the western taste bud. Chinese food has ingredients, spice combinations and food concepts that are beloved the world over. Not so with Russian, English and many other national cuisines. There are very few English or Russian food restaurants in America because after trying it no one would go back for haggis or borscht!!! (Amen). (Please click thumbs up, LIKE if you enjoy my jokes 🙂
I feel the service at Chin Chin is quick, and there is an integrity, a fairness to the owners methodology. A nice cherry on top – you don’t have to ask for no MSG as they don’t use it generally. Monosodium Glutamate is considered safe by the FDA, US Food and Drug Administration, as a limited use flavor enhancer. A lot of us don’t like the sleep dose it can carry especially when getting back on the highway… Vrooom, vrooom, and we are off driving again 🙂

I’ve eaten at a lot of Chinese restaurants in the Grand Valley and Chin Chin is by far the best! From appetizers to soup, salad, and main dishes it’s delicious and consistent every time. I drive from Fruita just to get take out from here.

Just stopped in. Though it was a bit much but trusted them. They gave me 2 extra soup and rice (at cost) I did not order that added up to an extra 20. Very disappointed, I’ll go across the street next time.

This was my first experience of the place. I arrived about 1 p.m. after the lunch rush. Was seated fairly quickly and ordered the moo goo gai pan and wonton soup for $8.25 off of the lunch menu. The wonton soup had several wontons in it and was evenly seasoned with a very good broth. The moo goo gai pan came with an egg roll and rice and a wonton. the rice and egg roll about average as you would get anywhere but the main dish was very satisfying. This place seems to attract a crowd of older folks looking for traditional american-style Chinese food. It’s the Chinese food from your youth if you grew up in Kansas or other rural places. I was happy with it but I noticed about half an hour after I finished eating I got that old MSG shakes and a bit light headed. I would imagine that they use the ancient Chinese secret of MSG to accent their food. I am a bit sensitive to it hence the fast Beating Heart and lightheadedness. so if you’re sensitive to MSG you’ve been warned. I still really like the food though, the pleasure outweighs the dizziness I guess.
