Cute little Café with plenty of options for Cold / Hot Drinks, Pastries, Snacks, and Desserts. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall experience was pleasant. Tables are closely grouped so it can be tricky to have any private conversations but that’s pretty much expected in a Café of this size.
Parking can be tricky but there is a Parking Garage attached to the building at the Rates are low, so you can use that. Will definitely recommend.

Amazing food never had Nutella before but wow on this waffle it was amazing! And the Lattes are incredible. Great prices and amazing staff who love what they do! .

Stopped in for a quick coffee. I wasn’t sure what I wanted but the barista was extremely helpful and SOOOOO KIND!! I will be frequenting this cafe again soon!!! Nice place to chill and the waffles smelled heavenly, will definitely partake on my next visit.

We went for desserts. Had coffee and rolled ice-cream. They have pastries like croissants and maybe even donuts.
I would like to highlight how polite and personable the attendant was.
We didn’t ask for anything sophisticated but felt that way because of the prices these days.
All in all it was a nice stop on our way back home after brunch in Rahway.
Convenient, we didn’t stay for the open mic performance but saw people stopping by to get coffee and hang inside before leaving the place.

Terribleeeee food!! We ordered through Uber eats and got a grilled cheese and hot chocolate. The grilled cheese wasn’t grilled at all! It was literally a block of cheese on a croissant not melted in the slightest . Completely unacceptable! We had much higher expectations but this was a huge disappointment. Never again!

I visit Melao often. Spending time in their shop working or having meetings. I normally have a good experience but from time to time I have a bad one. Today, I received a burnt bacon egg & cheese. I personally hate when the quality of my order is taken advantage of when ordering to-go versus dinning in. For instance, I don’t believe I would have been served a burnt sandwhich when dinning in. But because my order was to-go they figured I wouldn’t come back. Which is correct, why would I want to leave my home again to complain about a burnt $8 sandwich.
On another occasion, I went to dine-in with my EMPTY Starbucks cup. I drink a lot of coffee, came in to the shop with my cup and I immediately sat down as I was trying to quickly join a meeting. This older short gentleman, approaches me and instantly starts talking down on me saying I can’t drink that in his store etc. my friend had to step in and ask him to step away from the table. I acknowledged the guy and said ok, as to not start any trouble but he continued to stand over me like he was expecting something more out of me. Truth be told, he should have just asked me to throw it away instead of coming off all hot and heavy. You didn’t see me drink it because it’s empty and you shouldn’t be standing over the table, while I’m sitting because it was and will be deemed as a form of intimidation. I was not scared over the little guy but god knows I was ready to blow up for his unwarranted approach. Treat people with respect is the moral of the story here.
As for the take-out, quality is key. Don’t take advantage of mobile orders, you should be maintaining quality between take-out and dine-in

This cafe is very cute with playful decor. I love seeing the plants there! They have rolled ice cream, little bites and excellent coffee and teas. The service has never disappointed and the owner always goes above and beyond to cater to his customers. It’s been a pleasure seeing this cafe grow and improve as the years go by.
