At our Lima, OH location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Shawndeka was great!!! Our service was fast and Shawndeka brought our items to the table for us. Food was delicious!!! Melts in your mouth! Dining room clean and bathrooms super clean. Worker was sweeping parking lot which you don’t see very often anymore! Great service delicious food!

The drive thru speaker is very quiet. We only got half our order and think it was because of the speaker. The food we did receive was pretty good, but the French fry portions were much smaller than expected.

Going to Captin D’s during holiday visits, in Lima, is a family tradition. I was disappointed to see that my fish & shrimp combo had changed. The “fillets” looked like adult fish sticks. I was shocked to say the least. Will admit the flavor profile was still on point, even with one being overcooked, but it wasn’t as enjoyable because the fish to vinegar ratio was way off. Locals, is this their NEW NORMAL or was this their way of stretching the supply? Either way… DO BETTER CAPTIN D’S. Better yet, go back to the original recipe.

I don’t mean to sound like a Karin or anything but today my visit was just horrible. I got a 4 piece catfish meal with fries and corn. It took about 1/2 hour to get my food which isn’t too bad, I can understand staffing issues but 1/2 hour still feels a little too long. When I got my food I only got 3/4 fillets. I tried to mention something to the staff, however I feel like I was quickly forgotten about, just like my final cat fish fillet. My corn was alright I guess, but the fries were a little on the colder side and didn’t taste like they had any seasoning on them. I could’ve justified the long wait if the quality was there, but it just wasn’t today unfortunately. Overall probably a 3/10 visit, I’ll probably end up going to Findlay from now on.

Posted online and directly at their store that they close at 10. Pulled up at 9:20. They walked out the back of the building to tell Me they are closed. So I call their store and ask him why they’re posted, they are closed at ten, but they close at nine, and they tell me they always close at nine. It’s posted online for ten o’clock.It’s posted at their store for ten o’clock. That is not okay.
