Loved this place. My hubby usually goes but it anS my first time. Ira was our server and she had such a welcoming and friendly smile. That’s always important. The food was A plus. I’d totally go back. The pancit was the best I’ve tried in all of California. Reminds me of back home. Prices were okay for Cali. I’ll be coming here when I come to Bakersfield.

I came in around 3pm, they are open from 10am-6pm. By the time I arrived, it looked like the food had been sitting in the warmers for a while. Still warm but not as fresh as what it could be. I would imagine that there would be leftover and possibly reheated and reserved the next day. I ordered the two item item combo, it includes one scoop of white rice. No drinks or extras. Very overpriced for what you get! Paid just a few cents short of $20. Service was bad, one person before me, I observed was served with kindness, probably because he spoke to the lady in Tagalog. I don’t speak the language but I know the items I ordered, which was dinaguan and pinakbit. She shrugged me through, no smile, like she didn’t want to serve me. Not even printing the receipt as was she did for the person before me and when another customer came in that I observed while I was already seated and eating. Again, the food was very overpriced! Compared to a Panda Express, three items for under $12.. Compared to Mexican food, you get a whole two combo plate, rice, beans, salad, chips and salsa, for $17.. Compared to a Carneceria BBQ, 1 beef rib, piece of tri tip, 1 hot link, 1 pork chop, salad and beans for $20. Compared to fast food, double bacon burger, lg fries, and a lg soda for, $18. Though I never ate at Jolibee, you would probably have gotten more food than here for the almost $20 spent for a scoop of rice, dinaguan and pinakbet. I won’t eat here again! To be straight, the two items should be priced for about $12. Not $17.70 then with tax a total of $19.16!

We were traveling from Long Beach to Sacramento. We stopped by for lunch. My kids enjoy it. A bit pricier for a small amount ,sold out of bbq. Other than that, we enjoy our lunch

Egregiously overpriced for small portions. Also as someone else mentioned if you are not of the culture you are definitely getting less than warm greetings. I paid for a two combo plate with a 10 dollar hike for substituting for pancit and five pancit cut into threes for an additional 12. Almost forty dollars for a mid meal. Also you can get the vibe this spot is mainly for regulars and workers. I’ll give once but I’ll go to Sarap for more food with drinks for the same amount from now on.

Honestly, the place is the definition of hole in the wall. My husband is Filipino and we both absolutely love this place for its food. The food is delicious and you can tell that the food is freshly prepared daily. The place itself isn’t all the way updated but the food is my go to for Filipino food!

We enjoyed our lunch here. We had ginataan and beefsteak and they were good. I wish they had water though instead of buying a bottle of water.

The guy at the counter is extremely rude. Filipinos are usually welcoming and kind, but this man seems rude by nature. He’s probably the owner or one of the owners, which might explain why he’s not even trying to be polite to customers. Maybe he’s just tired of the job.
Food was okay, but they’ve nearly doubled their prices. We usually stop here on our way up north, but this will definitely be our last visit—especially with that rude man still working there
