If you haven’t tried this quint and quirky little place you need to right away! We’ve had it twice now and the food has been very good. First time was salisbury steak and the salmon, and then we tried the grown-up grilled cheese with chicken and tomato basil, soup, as well as the tortellini pasta. Soooo good! Can’t wait to try the rest of their offerings.

Welcome to Argyle, Quandary Kitchen and Market! So happy to have a new place to eat. For our first visit we had the grilled cheese with the added bacon apple jam, and the carrot salad. It was interesting how the carrots were like a pasta shape and texture – they were super yummy. The grilled cheese comes wtih house-made chips that are addicting, especially if you add the ranch sauce. We enjoyed both dishes. Before we left we bought a bag of the homeade chips and some of the jam. We also bought a super cute kitchen towel as a gift for a friend. We look forward to our next visit.

I am so excited there is another great option for a healthy dinner in Denton County. This order at the counter, part market/part restaurant has taken over one of the most adorable location in DFW. The menu options are – think what mom used to make with gelato to finish the meal! There are also fantastic options for take home 9×13 casseroles. I love the concept and the food was great.

I visited with a friend during their soft opening and was very pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere, decor, menu variety and attentive service. We ordered the crack chips, southwest caesar salad, queso with chips and a taco dish (friend ordered the tacos, so I’m not sure the name). The crack chips are for sure a standout, we tried the ranch and blue cheese dips and both were tasty. Salad was very large and seemed like I hardly put a dent in it even though I ate a good bit. Queso was tasty, but the tortilla chips they came with were nothing special compared to the crack chips.
The staff were all helpful and attentive, we were checked on a couple of times as we ate, and the manager made a point of coming over to speak to us about our experience. We sat inside, and look forward to their patio opening soon.
This is exactly the kind of place Argyle needed, and we will absolutely be back soon!

We tried this new restaurant and had a mixed experience. I ordered the Blue Ridge and Rosemary fries, and while the portion was great, the fries didn’t have any noticeable rosemary flavor and just weren’t very good overall. My husband had the chicken club and mesquite chips. He really enjoyed the sandwich, but the mesquite chips were overpowering- and he didn’t get a choice of flavor.
On the positive side, the service was excellent. Everyone was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is really cute. We’d be open to coming back again after they’ve had a little more time to settle in and refine. The potential is definitely there.

As a huge fan of the previous coffee shop in this location, I was a little apprehensive of something new. My experience is that sometimes while change is hard, it’s also a positive thing. I tried the monsieur alpine with the rosemary fries. MY GOSH was it delicious! Simple yet flavorful. The fries were cooked perfectly as well.
The transformation inside is bright yet still cozy. I truly think photos don’t do it justice. I’m sure many people thought — What’s this gondola doing here? Yet once you walk in it’s just BEAUTIFUL all around. Everything well thought out to keep the place bright and inviting. The old charm of the previous coffee shop vibes still sings through. The type of place you want to hang out in, eat, spend time with family or have business lunch dates. A space you can still grab a bite to eat that you aren’t left feeling weighed down and stuffed full while you sit to get work done on your laptop.
Portions DO seem small at a glance but from the experience of the one sandwich I had, it was perfect.

What a gem! Quandary Kitchen & Market serves up easy, delicious meals that hit the spot for the whole family. The atmosphere is incredible; it truly feels like you’ve stepped into a cozy ski lodge tucked away in the middle of Colorado. There is literally a gondola inside with snow falling behind it! From the charming, woodsy decor to the welcoming vibe; it’s such a relaxing and cozy place to sit and enjoy a great meal. My kids loved the food just as much as I did, which is always a win! Definitely one of my new favorite spots in Argyle.

We had lunch here today, during the soft opening, and it was wonderful! Very cute inside (there is even a gondela with a booth inside and it’s snowing inside the wall behind it….yes, falling snow), the food was amazing, tasted like high quality ingredients, and staff were incredibly nice too! I suspect this place is going to be a hit! My husband ordered the blackened chicken sandwich (can’t remember what it was called) and I had the monsier alpine sandwich and we both had the house made chips. Both were superb and we will definitely be back.

My husband and I are happy that this restaurant is in the area. You order at the counter and the food is brought to the table. We are always on the look out for places with healthy options, and this place will have several things we will try. We ordered the Roasted Poblano and it was delicious. It was stuffed full of barley and other grains and a side of wild rice came with it. Next time I will try the salad with sweet potatoes, beets, micro greens and other ingredients like walnuts and feta. We did see some other trays of food go by and it all looked delicious. We will be back.

I really (really) wanted to love this place, and there were definitely some great highlights! The fries were the star of the meal—perfectly hot, crispy, and delicious with catsup. The blackened chicken sandwich wasn’t quite what we expected and leaned very dry and salty, with some darker areas on the poultry, but I appreciate the effort and think something as simple as warming the bun could make a noticeable difference. There other dishes we got but I think I made my point.
Overall, there were some bright spots, and with a few tweaks, this could easily be a 4 or 5-star visit. For now, I’d rate the food closer to 2 stars, while the wonderful staff and inviting ambience truly elevated the experience to an overall 3 stars.
