The use of AI automation ruins the experience placing orders.
I and everyone else with any personality, human emotions, or fundamental morals not only prefer speaking with other, real people, but would rather never eat at an establishment that uses automated garbage when trying to place orders for food because corporate is too greedy to employ real people to replace with a cheap imitation of techno slop. Do better Wendy’s.

I just ordered a taco salad from this Wendy’s drive thru. Missing dressing, beans and taco meat. I had to make 4 attempts to call (line would not connect but the franchise supervisor did finally answer, Mairian, and she told me to come back tomorrow lunch for another salad try.
This is my hometown and we arrived to order a meal after being out of town and so disappointed since Wendy’s HQ is less than 5 miles away.
I’ll give this another try tomorrow.
Hope that tortilla chips, roasted corn, cheese and tomatoes on top of lettuce is done correctly tomorrow.
* We were 2nd in line at drive through and parking lot not crowded at 3:30pm.
**Update**
I went the following day around 2pm and showed 2 of the staff the first photo of the taco salad and explained that I spoke with Marion over the phone the day prior. They gave me a correct taco salad and it tasted fine. I am a bit confused why they call it taco, when it should be called a chilli salad. Didn’t know that the salad came with a small size chilli and you are supposed to put the chilli on your salad. I thought based on the menu item description it was ground beef and beans.
I appreciate Marian and her staff helping me be able to taste the new taco salad that I guess would be Midwest-modified. This is not the typical taco salad you would get at any Mexican/latino restaurant. Thank you Wendy’s and might want to have HQ rewrite the menu description to say it’s really a basic salad that you can add the creamy salsa dressing and tortilla strips along with a small chilli.

They charge full price for half the ingredients, which I didn’t even ask for. No receipt was given. The people in the drive-thru window don’t talk.
Paid $6 for an entree and was left hungry. AI drive thru is always fun to navigate (that is a joke.)

On multiple occasions I have ordered delivery from here. Everytime my order is either missing items or just completely wrong. I ordered today and was literally missing almost the entire biggie bag the only thing I got was the sandwich which was made wrong with stuff I am allergic to on it when I specifically said no mayonnaise or lettuce. My cheese fries were soggy by the time they got to me. And then I have tried to contact support multiple times and still no reply. I will never order from here again its a waste of money that they don’t want to refund you.

They couldn’t have messed up the order worse if they were blindfolded and grabbed anything from a bag AFTER I explained clearly the order 2x. PLAIN BURGER was not plain and regular chicken order came PLAIN. Fries were all the little crispy bits from the dreads of the bag it came from. But wait, there’s more…I’ll spare you.

This location genuinely has a customer service issue. This morning 11:10am drive thru attendant tells me to pull up. There are no cars behind me. It a dead Sunday morning. I explain there is no one behind me while she can tell my son is in the back seat yelling at me and I’m juggling everything.
I asked why. She said because her times will look bad and it’ll only be a couple of seconds. I said if it’s only a couple of seconds I’ll just wait here.
She says do what you want and slammed the window shut. Comes back and practically throws the bag at me pissed off.
Last couple of times I’ve been here I’ve pulled forward when they ask me. Then I get ignored or treated like crap when I ask for something that’s missing like napkins.
Sorry. I refuse to pull forward anymore for this location.
Oh and of course when I call in to speak to the manager the phone rings endlessly despite an empty parking lot and drive thru

Staff who took our order was very polite and efficient unlike the staff at our local store in Clintonville who are neither of these. Food was delivered hot & exactly as we ordered which again rarely occurs at our local store. Much appreciated.

Best of Wendy’s is better than most other fast food. Can’t imagine paying McDonald’s current prices for what they offer but Wendy’s is still worth the price.

I came here on Sunday, April 16 around 1:00 PM and the customer service was absolutely horrible. When I pulled up to the window every single employee in there was joking around throwing cups at each other and not really paying attention they were throwing cups at each other & someone who looked like she had a manager shirt on, was putting a food bucket on top of her head and joking around mind you they left the window completely open so I could hear everything and they continued to just blatantly play around as I’m sitting there waiting for a long time for my food… I honestly wanted to pull off because if you’re putting a food bucket on top of your head, what else are you doing around peoples food? & she looked straight at me and still continued to keep the food bucket on top of her head like what do you guys have going on in that place? My food was horrendous couldn’t even eat it. My order was wrong. My fries were so old and burnt I couldn’t even eat them I mean this is absolutely ridiculous. Maybe focus on your customers more than playing around with each other or get a whole new staff.

Well this was an awkward visit. Wendy’s is cutting corners and employing less people by using AI to take your order verbally at this location. You have to talk to a half competent computer while simultaneously contributing to worsening pollution by the AI super computers and furthering job layoffs so that the Wendy’s CEO can make $17.3 million a year. I will not be back.
