This used to be a 5 star rating, but the quality of this restaurant has dropped off significantly. Dried out chicken and pork, cornbread is hard as a rock, fried green tomatoes are undercooked to the point where there is batter sludge oozing out of them, I could go on and on. Just spent over 30 dollars on two meals and I cant even finish the meal due to how gross it is. Please avoid this please unless you like overpriced poorly cooked good. I’ve also added a pic of the gross fried green tomato as well.

I confess, I don’t go here for Barbeque (I’ve never even tried it), but their Chicken Salad sandwich on grilled Texas toast is awesome!! Topped with lettuce and slices of tomatoes that always taste fresh! Then I top it off with a piece of the homemade peanut butter cake! Love! I highly recommend that you check it out! Reasonably priced.

I know it closed and reopened. I don’t know if there are new owners, new management or what. But, yesterday we tried to order 4 sandwiches, inside meat only, and were told they just mix it all together. Tried to order mac and cheese and were told they don’t carry that.
Get the food home and the bread was stale, kind of hard to eat. I liked the bbq sauce, but it is very ketchup heavy and sweet. No one else eating with me liked it. Which was good because we were only given 2 sauces for 4 sanwiches. There is nothing special about it. The fries would have been ok, if they had not all been overcooked to almost burnt. They were crispy for sure and dark brown. Only 1 out of 4 was edible.
The only part that saved this experience was the lady in the window was friendly.
I have eaten here before and there was more on the menu, mac and cheese included. You could just get a vegetable plate. Something has changed. Will not return. This was a waste of money.

Ok so I wasn’t really happy with my order. I ordered the sliced brisket plate only to find out after we already ordered that they only had chopped so not what I really wanted but that’s ok so I told them no BBQ sauce on it but on the side and got no sauce at all. The reasoning for me trying to get the sauce on the side was because I got the chopped and my fiance got the sliced before and they put way to much sauce so i complain and get none. I’m assuming the reason they didn’t have the sliced and did have the chopped was because that was the bottom of the barrel on brisket because it was barely any meat and had a lot of burned and grissel looking stuff in it. I’m really shocked because normally there food is great

I tried Deerman’s for the first time recently and I was very impressed.
The food was hot and fresh. I tried the rib plate and it was delicious. My sides were their Mac N Cheese and Fries. I liked the portions of food they serve you and I will definitely return.

Fast counter service, grilled or blacked Tilapia available. Good butter beans. French fries crispy and delicious. Onion rings HUGE Good cornbread. Many types of cakes and pies.

The people that took our order was very nice. My husband ordered a BBQ plate and I ordered catfish plate. We got it to go . We got home and and we both had fish. He was disappointed! We live too far to bring it back. Please pay attention! The receipt say BBQ pork plate I got okra and it was hard.

So I’ve eaten at Deermans before, but not often at all so I realized today that obviously someone else owns and is operating the restaurant. The menu isn’t the same at all, butI gave it a shot anyway. BUT BAYBEEYYY, SMH!
I would have taken a picture of the meals I ordered, but I was soo pissed I threw them away. I ordered the bbq rib plate, the loaded, stuffed grilled chicken baked potato, and a Philly cheese steak sandwich. First of all…NOTHING was grilled, me and my Husband are cooks so we know what we know. It was baked ribs, turnip greens was disgusting with some type of sweetener, fried greens tomatoes with thick, fried and uncooked batter. My Son said he did enjoy his Philly chs steak sandwich. Now, my Husbands stuffed baker had to be drenched in bbq sauce and not the bbq sauce provided, he had to use some we had at home, the chicken was not grilled either and it wasn’t a big baker like we thought but the price wasn’t terrible I guess. The customer service was decent, the lady working the drive through was nice. It also didn’t take long to get the food and it was hot..not fresh, but it was hot. I spent about $55 for all the stuff I purchased.
I absolutely will not be going back, 10/10 I do not recommend!

First time I’ve been since it was reopened . All I ordered was a hamburger and a large tea. The hamburger was inedible so much garlic salt that it would choke a horse. Way too much mustard and onions. The mustard and onions was falling out in huge chunks. I like onions and mustard but not in obscene amounts. I was so disappointed since their hamburgers were my favorite growing up
