This small fast-food establishment has standard road side fair such as hamburgers, hotdogs, and corndogs. They offer ice cream and shakes. The food isn’t spectacular, but it is standard roadside standard which is cooked to-order and is always hot and fresh. The ice cream and shakes are good. If you keep in mind that this is a counter order, take out, roadside style restaurant, you’ll be pleased. Note that items are made to order, so be sure to expect a wait. (Our wait was 15 minutes during a lunch period.)

What a great spot! We drove 20 minutes to check it out and totally worth it. We only had ice cream, sundae and shake but the food looked so great. They are so friendly and kind. Outdoor seating as well. Can’t wait to go back!

Food is pretty good. Ice cream is some of the best I’ve had for very cheap. You can get a vanilla milkshake with Oreo’s mixed in it to make a Cookies and Cream milkshake.

We love this place so much! We hit it up every time we are going through Dillwyn! The food is cheap but good. And the icecream is delicious and always huge! Friendly service. And they accept cards now! No indoor seating because its more of a drive up and eat in your car type of place but there are some picnic tables too!

I went to the Tasty Freeze today spent almost $200, to 36 straight out the freezer in the oil cooked to a crisp, & 2 fish sandwiches. Waited over an hour to get back to work with untasty food. It’s crazy how no one makes the girl in the front wash her hands as she licks her finger after she makes a shake. The service I got today was very unacceptable.

Thought going here would be a better option than fast food. Fries were cold and not cooked fully. Burgers were thinner than the crap you get from McDonald’s. The only thing that was edible was the ice cream cones the kids got.

Dillwyn Dairy Freeze, not Tastee Freeze, is one of my favorite spots to frequent when I am down at the Virginia Nazarene Retreat Center!!! Food is yummy (try the Ribeye Steak Sandwich or the Oyster Box Their ice cream is top notch! One of my favorite desserts anywhere is here, the Boston Shake (half shake on bottom & half sundae on the top)!!! I almost always get the Strawberry Boston Shake They have a delightful Staff to top it off
