The orange chicken was ok, but not for orange chicken. It had zero sweet or citrus taste. Definitely more like a generals chicken. Breading was kinda crunchy but starting to soften in the sauce. I’d maybe go again but not for the “orange” chicken.

This restaurant is AMAZING. Great service. Food was hot and arrived quickly. You get a lot at a good price. Everything was fresh and delicious. Not a single dish disappointed. Our family’s previous favorite Chinese restaurant completely changed and we needed to find something new. Hong Kong Restaurant is a new favorite, and we regret not dining here sooner. Definitely stop here and don’t make the mistake we made in waiting too long to try it out!

Recently, my family of six ordered dinner to go from the Hong Kong Chinese food restaurant located on Riverside Drive in Mount Vernon, Washington. Unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing and fell far below expectations for quality and taste.

The meals were bland to the point of being almost inedible—so much so that I had to add salt from home just to make them palatable. The texture and taste reminded me of cardboard, lacking any distinct or authentic flavor profiles typically expected from Chinese cuisine.
Ironically, the only aspect of the meal that stood out positively was the quality of the to-go containers, which were sturdy and well-made. Beyond that, the food did not justify the cost paid. Given the price, I would have preferred to purchase Chinese food from a supermarket like Safeway, which, while not exceptional, would likely have been better than this experience.
This experience raises concerns not only about the food preparation but also about the value offered to customers. It felt as though the restaurant was not prioritizing genuine culinary quality or customer satisfaction. If you are considering ordering from this establishment, I would advise caution. The food was disgusting. I couldn’t even eat it all and I love food and was starving. I had orange chicken and almond chicken BOTH breaded, and as you can see the breading was soggy and falling off the chicken. Very disappointing. The service was okay, but not the best. One of the ladies was kind of rude. It’s not worth it to come here.

Parking can be a little tight and difficult at times but you should find a spot. I had to help a handicap gentleman get through the doors to the restaurant. It was narrow and the doors dont automatically open. Atmosphere was nice. I like the huge fish tank. Everyone was very kind and friendly. Great service! Even better food!! Phenomenal food! Nice big portions, at least you wont feel like you got screwed. This is my “Go To” Asian/Chinese/Sichuan restaurant! #1 Even has the award certificates on their wall stating that they are the best

The Singapore noodles are by far the best I’ve ever had! I love trying Singapore noodles whenever they are on the menu, these were by far the best. The flavor and spice was spot on, I couldn’t have asked for better. If you haven’t eaten here before I highly recommend.
