Went yesterday (Tuesday) for breakfast with my husband and 4 of our friends. The restaurant wasn’t busy. I’m not going to lie, I wasn’t expecting it to be as great as it was. I ordered Carne con Huevos. It’s a thin, grilled steak with onions, 2 over medium eggs, and it came with a arepa with cheese. The steak and eggs were cooked perfectly, and I was super impressed by how good their arepa was. I was expecting the usual small and dry ones (no disrespect), but this one was about the size of a fajita tortilla, it was thin and buttery, super good. I’m from Miami, and I’ve never has a Colombian arepa like that. Moving on, the colada was delicious, the fresh squeezed orange juice was divine. My hubby had Higado Encebollado with eggs, with a mango juice with milk, which is basically a batido de mango, which was delicious. Everyone loved their food. Service was also good. They have a nice variety of bakery goods including bread pudding and traditional Colombian goodies, so good. I’d recommend this place to a friend.

I had an incredible experience! Truly some of the best Colombian food in all of Florida, every dish tasted authentically homemade and full of traditional flavor. The food was absolutely amazing and great refreshing natural juices(hard to find this level of natural juices, specially the Guanábana one).The Colombian hot sauce (ají) was another standout.
The service was equally impressive: warm, welcoming, and attentive from start to finish.
Honestly, everything here is top tier. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking to taste what authentic Colombian cuisine is all about. You won’t be disappointed!

We love Colombian food and we know some pretty darn good Colombian restaurants so when a friend recommended we come here, we couldn’t pass it up. So glad we came. The food was delicious and came out quickly. Our kids loved the tacos, the empanadas and the chicken tenders and fries. Our bandeja was money! The service was also very friendly and polite. Their natural fruit juices are so tasty. Lastly, their bakery selection was great. I wish they had more desert options and adult beverage options but I can’t complain too much considering how good the food was. Definitely need to return.

The service is on point. Laura and Adriana treated us like family. The food is fresh and delicious. They have fresh breads and their empanadas are the best I have had. The have karaoke on Saturdays and live music as well. I will be back!

El Portal never ever disappoints! The food is absolutely delicious and the service is impeccable! It is the perfect place to go with my family for lunch on the weekend.
I recommend trying the Morcilla, Chicharron and Arepa de Choclo for Starters. And I typically order the Bandeja Paisa (which is served beautifully) or the Sanchoco de Gallina!
