To address the speed and cost complaints. Yes, it isn’t as fast or cheap as some alternatives may be, however if you want to enjoy your food instead of just getting something to put in your stomach, this location has value. It is clear that all the food was made to order, fresh. It has been a long time since I have ordered burgers and actually received something that looked like it came from a commercial. It was well put together and tasted great. The fries and onion rings were great. They didn’t taste like old oil and they were clearly cooked at the right temperature as they were not oily. Again, very tasty. And most shockingly, the Pepsi is properly calibrated. Most places don’t care enough to check their product settings.
I am a foodie and do not typically rank fast food as it is widely accepted that fast food is more about function than form. But this A&W location stands out. I drive from Oregon to Seattle at least twice a month and I can promise, I will be stopping by here regularly.

The chicken strips are made fresh to order and are super juicy and piping hot and delicious! We always get gas here on road trips and look forward to cheese curds. The staff is always super nice.

Went to A&W Restaurant for the first time. It was connected to the Space Age Fuel Station Travel Center Castle Rock Toutle River Rd. Went there to get some quick yummies because we were pumping gas and it’s very convenient too! Ordered the Double Spicy Papa Burger combo with onion fries and a drink. My hubby ordered the Sriracha Cheese Curds. Super delicious . Highly recommended! Love love love it

Only because no starts isn’t an option. They wanted me to wait 15 minutes for 3 pieces of chicken tenders. Plus there’s flies flying around the dinning area where there are other people sitting to eat. Proof below. I’m not coming here again no matter where I travel.

I waited 40 minutes for an online order that was supposed to be done after 4. Fries were only warm on top and burger didn’t taste good. Way too expensive for the quality. They seemed very understaffed.

I’m glad remnants of the old A&W culture are given more than a nod at this location. I found the location convenient, and the parking abundant. Restrooms in the retail store next door were tidy and bright. Employees there were friendly in a polite manner while maintaining efficient service. Shady in particular was clearly keeping things flowing nicely up front. Yes, it took a bit for the food to come but that’s because it’s not microwaved! Worth the wait IMO. One star off for Atmosphere because the Root Beer tap at the beverage counter is broken! sad bear cub face

I am very, very pleased to see that a restaurant still has some class that the workers inside appreciate their customers and the food is absolutely great. The service is punctual and I’ve never had so much service in my life so distinctive. At the truckstop here in Castlerock, Washington as the space age you keep a crew like this you’ll go a long ways and even further than you already have the burger was great fries are fantastic. Nice and the drink was fantastic. Also thank you very much W.Duff

What a joke this place was. First off, they don’t care about customer relations as they make you order on a stupid computer. Thus taking away jobs, serving the staff that work here are zombies, they are not friendly also they keep the restaurant filthy. I can promise one thing I’ll never eat here again. I’ll probably never again stop at this Space Age Travel Center again.
