I just had to leave a review because I am genuinely blown away. I stopped at Dairy Queen expecting the usual fast-food gamble… and instead I was handed a masterpiece.
When I unwrapped my burger, I actually paused. It looked EXACTLY like the picture on the menu board. I’m not exaggerating. The bun wasn’t smushed. The lettuce wasn’t sad and sliding off the side. The cheese was perfectly melted. The patty was centered like it had been placed with architectural precision. It was a beautifully built burger — tall, structured, and proud. It looked like it had just stepped out of a commercial.
You know how most fast-food burgers look like they lost a fight on the way to your tray? Not this one. This was showroom quality. If anything, it looked better than the picture.
And the customer service? Absolutely over the top. From the second I pulled up to the drive-through speaker, I was greeted with genuine respect and positive energy. It didn’t feel rushed or robotic — it felt welcoming. The staff member was clear, friendly, and patient while taking my order, and that same level of kindness carried all the way through to the window. When I was handed my food, I was met with a smile and professionalism that made the whole experience feel above and beyond what you typically expect at a drive-through.
On top of that, it tasted just as good as it looked — fresh, hot, and perfectly balanced. Whoever assembled that burger deserves recognition because that level of care is rare, and the team working that shift clearly takes pride in what they do.
10/10 experience. If this is the standard, Dairy Queen is operating on a whole different level. I’m seriously impressed.

The food tastes delicious!!!!! We loved it!!! We had a chicken strip basket with warm zesty queso sauce and a bacon two cheese hamburger with fries and drink. We felt really welcome. Excellent service, very friendly and pleasant. Definitely coming back soon!

Awesome staff, awesome food. Prompt service. Need I say more? All the folks at DQ and friendly and courteous… Plus – IMHO – thier food beats the other fast food joints hands down!
And let’s not forget thier I famous blizzards. I usually stick with cooke dough medium size. Hint… if you’re blizzard melts.. throw it into the freezer and it hardens right up again!

If you are lgbtq you will get disgusting looks from the staff and are not accepted at this facility and will be turned away after your order is completed and asked not to come back. Here at the Westbrook facility lgbtq is not considered “family friendly”. There’s a fantastic ice cream spot over in south Portland where everyone is accepted I think it’s called dairy corner? It’s right past the fire station over in south portland. It’s 2025, sexually harassing customers is played out. Do better Westbrook Dairy Queen branch

It was pretty good. I generally don’t eat dinner there, but the chicken basket was actually pretty good… the toast was weird and forced and didnt seem like it fit with the purpose of the basket. The ice cream is astonishing, and is really what you go there for, but one must not judge only the best parts.

Probably the most friendly customer service I’ve seen, I always enjoy coming here even just to chit chat. But I have noticed in the last month or so, the food has gone from hot and fresh to almost always stale, tough, and lousy. I’m not sure what changed, but it REALLY needs fixing. I don’t go here as often because of how poor the food is becoming.

A great place to go for a quick meal or some much deserved desserts . This place is always busy with lines out to the road so that says something right there for a chain. Staff is young but friendly. Has shaded areas to sit outside.

I stopped to get a small blizzard w chocolate ice cream, peanut butter n chocolate crunch. I was floored that it was $6.15. Didn’t know total until I got to the window. Gave cash n said I had the change (went to get change n cashier proceeded to make change…). I got to my destination, n to my surprise my blizzard had chocolate ice cream w rainbow sprinkles n nuts….
Not worth the money n will not go back.
