Roma Ristorante is one of the best restaurants in CT. I was in little Italy in NY & we talk to everyone. A New Yorker told us the best restaurant in the tri-state area is Roma’s in a little town called Oakville lol
It truly is… the food is delicious, big portions, the drinks are great & the service is outstanding. Its the perfect place for a date night, dinner with friends or family occasions! The hardest part of eating there, is deciding on the dinner choice because everything is amazing.

This was my first trip to Connecticut and the first Italian restaurant I was taken too. The bar area was small by very engaging. Bartender was awesome and knew what she was doing. Food was fantastic and the steak was cooked to perfection. Will definitely be coming back here in tbe future.

Roma Restaurant truly knocked it out of the park today. We walked in as a party of six with no reservation on a very busy service, and they still welcomed us warmly and accommodated us without hesitation — which says a lot about their professionalism and hospitality.
From start to finish, everything was excellent. We enjoyed drinks, appetizers, entrées, dessert, and coffee, and every course was spot-on. The food was delicious, well-timed, and clearly prepared with care, even with how busy the restaurant was.
A special shout-out to our server, Amanda (apologies if I misheard her name), who was absolutely wonderful. She was friendly, attentive, and completely on top of everything while juggling a packed dining room. She made us feel relaxed and well taken care of, never rushed, and always smiling.
Roma delivered a fantastic dining experience under pressure, and that’s when great restaurants really shine. We’ll absolutely be back — and next time we’ll make a reservation (though it’s nice to know they’ll still take great care of you if you don’t!).

Great authentic Italian food in a very classy but comfortable atmosphere. The service was excellent, food was amazing with nice sized portions, and the prices were reasonable for the quality. The restaurant is a bit out of the way to get to if you’re not from the area but well worth the trip. Be sure to make a reservation and if you like seafood, the clams Patricia is absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend this place.

Roma’s has been a go to for decades for us especially on special occasions. Excellent food, service, staff, atmosphere. We started night with Beet Napoleon & Stuffed Mushrooms. The food was fine but the management would not honor a gift certificate that we had, advising that it was old and that it was from a previous owner. There has been no change of names and I would think that a new owner would have asked to see what was outstanding in gift cards and adjusted the price. We were ripped off for 150$.

Made 6:30 reservation for 6 on a Tuesday night for wife’s birthday. Host sat us in the back dining area. Great Waite staff taking our order. Appetizers and main meal were delicious !! Special dessert for the birthday girl at no charge A great evening to remember. Thank you Tom

Absolutely incredible. One of if not the best restaurant in CT. Clams, homemade pasta, melt in your mouth veal and exceptional service. Don’t forget the homemade Cavatelli! Our waiter Brendan was exceptional. Beyond worth the 40 minute drive, can’t wait to come back with friends and family.

Came for a date night dinner and was in for a treat. Made reservations so we didn’t have to wait long for the table to be cleared. Server was very knowledgeable about the wine list and the menu and suggesting things to pair. The restaurant is small and makes for tight walking through the bar, but I think it gives it a quaint homey feeling for a nice dinner. Be aware the dining room can get quite loud when its full as the walls are wood and bounce the sound around.
