Yosumi Ramen is a fantastic newer spot that genuinely surprised me in the best way. We originally stopped in for sushi, and everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The quality definitely exceeded expectations for a newer restaurant in the area.
The staff was warm, attentive, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and welcoming. You can tell they care about what they’re doing. The space itself is clean, modern, and comfortable…perfect for a casual lunch or an easy dinner out.
I didn’t try the ramen this time, but after seeing it come out for other tables, I’m absolutely getting it on my next visit. It looked incredible. All in all, Yosumi Ramen is definitely worth a try, and I’m already looking forward to coming back.
Highly recommend giving them a shot while they’re still a hidden gem.

Such a hidden gem all the way in Novato! The broth for tonkatsu ramen was SO rich! Creamy! I haven’t had a broth this good in S.F. in a long time. They give you a whole onsen egg cut in half. The chasu was thinly sliced and tender. And full of flavor. After I slurped all the noodle and drained the last bit of broth, I felt warm and fuzzy.

I had really good ramen here! It wasn’t necessarily the most authentic, but the portions were large, and it had a lot of fixins (in the chicken black garlic ramen). Kind staff, convenient location.

* Returned in October 2025, and bringing up the Star rating. Broth was tasty in the tonkatsu ramen and very filling. Chicken Curry dish was good. They turned off some of the overhead lights to help with a “not so bright room” Good call! *

Do you ever find yourself craving ramen or something Asian? I am so happy that this spot opened up in Novato! We had the edamame (glad they serve it warm), the curry chicken katsu don and tonkatsu miso ramen. You can control the spiciness in your dish by adding their homemade chili oil!

Ordered a takoyaki and salmon philly sushi via phone and picked up in store. The best takoyaki so far, I have ordered takoyaki from different places: some are salty, some are bland, some have too much sauce, or too little filling. The sushi is fresh and delicious. I would love to come back and try their ramen dine in ofcourse.

This place is super delicious. I got a big order with tonkatsu miso ramen, 6pc spicy tuna roll and threw in a takoyaki a couple minutes after ordering; plus a diet coke. The ramen/sushi of your choice with a drink is technically their combo and it rings up a little over twenty bucks, a nice discount and a hearty dinner id get constantly if I lived in the area. Everything was so solid, the takoyaki were exceptional, the ramen broth rich and drinkable with really good charsui pork for a strip mall spot, better than many fancy ramen joints I’ve been. The sushi pieces had well cooked rice, a tight roll, and well textured tasty fish.
I was the only diner on a very early Thursday dinner so of course the service was perfect and friendly. So fast too with piping hot ramen and takoyaki. The guy recommended trying the chili oil as the owner makes it with a Chinese twist. The oil was more sesame dominant with a smoky flavor and maybe some Szechuan peppercorn.. super worth adding if it’s your style (it’s not for spice heads as it was quite tame).
I did see the open sign wasn’t lit when I pulled up and thought it was closed, but their hours are accurate and it totally was. The space is super casual, clean, bright and playing some gentle jpop. Go here. It’s quite good, and priced right.

Yum! Perfect for cooler nights. Can’t beat the ramen combo for $25.99 which includes one of any ramen, sushi roll, and non-alcoholic beverage. I got the Tonkotsu Black Garlic Ramen and they don’t skimp on the more premium ingredients like the black garlic and chashu pork. The salmon in their Philly Roll was delightfully fatty and the Mango Iced Tea wasn’t overly sweet. For a casual restaurant, service was on the slower end. Definitely a bang for your buck!

A Gem of a Ramen spot in Novato! We’ve eaten here plenty of times and the food hits hard every time. Great food and great service. It’s a low-key, chill ramen joint in the Novato Fair Shopping Center on Diablo Ave.
Our go-to every time we have come here are:
Spicy Tonkatsu Ramen and Curry Chicken Katsu Don
They give big portions and the price is very reasonable. The taste is also out of this world! Highly, highly recommended. You will not be disappointed. Very happy we now have a good Ramen joint here in Novato!

Marin County is lacking when it comes to good ramen spots but this new restaurant is great! We got there at a good time because we were sat immediately and then more people came in after. I ordered the Tonkatsu Ramen – it had good flavor, the meat was tender, and the noodles has a nice chew to them. Definitely a place worth checking out!
