Ok. I’ve been craving taco for months!! Pulled in excited I was about to get my taco on! Ordered 5 soft tacos and 1 taco burger for me and the kiddo… Got home, took a bite… Hands down the worst taco I’ve had in my life. I never thought tacos could ever be not amazing… So the kid got the taco burger and the rest was donated to someone that looked hungry… Super sad, almost mad… And omgosh how much lettuce do they gotta put on a taco??? A few tiny pieces of cheese and a dollop of their meat mixture. Not a fan not impressed. the drive thru guy was cool and definitely didn’t get a 1 star rating… But yea. No thanks

I moved to Wichita from Southern CA 15yrs ago, and then moved back to CA a year later. My partner took me here for “mexican food”. LOL. I was appalled. The “hot sauce” was sweet like ketchup and the amount of cheddar cheese on the greasy food was gross. I got the worst stomach ache and diarrhea. I understand real mex food has probably made it there yet. When I lived there, there was one authentic place and everyone was afraid to eat there and they told me I was gross for eating there.

Taco Grande is my absolute FAVORITE fast food joint. I live in Kansas City, but will definitely make the trip to Wichita for this place. Been around for a long long time, great flavor and so much better than the other chains. A lot of nostalgia associated with Taco Grande. Thanks for the great food and memories! See you all soon! Love from KC!

Great prices, huge portions for the price. Salsa and hot sauce bar with jalapenos and Pico sauce. Staff was super friendly and our order was made quickly. Cozy, comfortable, come as you are type place. Burritos are yummy. Tacos are $0.89 after 8:00 P.M (limit ten per person) Great experience.

We normally eat here all the time with no complaints. Love the food. This time we ordered a bag of Crustos. They had cinnamon sugar on them. They were even a little fried. Had enough oil to make the seasonings stick. Called to make a complaint. The lady who answered said, “well, it’s hit or miss on who fries them. Sometimes they are fried too much or not at all. Depends on who fries them. Sorry.” Didn’t offer to replace them or refund. She was rude, too. How about some quality control. Do it right or don’t do it at all. There should be consistency. Very disappointing since we go there ALL the time.

I’ve never eaten here but I delivered pizza once when I was 18 and they shorted me like four bucks and I think that’s pretty rude

Went on Saturday before 5 and sat for a long time at the speaker and no one came on then drove to the window to see lights off and chairs on the tables. Change your hours online if you’re not gonna be open.

Great tacos at a great price. The building is in need of a good renovation, and the staff friendliness is about 50/50 the friendly ones are very good, the not so friendly ones tend to be more towards the management side oddly enough. But good cheap tacos.

My 85 year old father & I stopped by for lunch today for nostalgia as he once worked at a Taco Grande with the original owners Mike & Rich Foley. We only get to Wichita once every 3-4 years & try to hit a Grande each time. The last time we were here, everything tasted as he remembered it. Good spiced meat, crisp corn tacos, and tasty Refried Beans.
This time however, was VERY DIFFERENT. The tacos were empty and flavorless. The Beef Burritos were also only half-filled, microwaved, and strangely double-wrapped.
If you think adding hot sauce would help, guess again. I’m not a big fan of hot sauces and I drank the sweet red mess like it was Gatorade. (Sad).
And best of all … 4 Tacos, 2 Beef Burritos, and 2 small sodas were $21.00! Skip this place and hit up any of the many local taquerias that have sprung up on Seneca Rd. South!
