The spices of pizza we had were excellent. The stuffed crust pepperoni and sausage and the BBQ Chicken slices were so good. Can’t forget the garlic knots… phenomenal.
Not sure when the ownership changed but it is back to what I remember when the original Sal owed it!!!

Amazing place, everyone was so kind! I was reading a sign, and the worker asked me if I needed anything, or if I would like some Parmesan or pepper. The atmosphere was amazing, I really loved that everything was so cozy and local. The pizza was amazing, would recommend the stuffed pizza and the cheese pizza. All the negative reviews were false. Overall, it had a great atmosphere with kind workers and great food!!!! Stop by here if you are in the area!!

My friend and I visited Sal’s in Cedarburg. A first for both of us. The pizza was freshly made and wayyyy beyond our expectation!! Don’t even get me started on the garlic knots! Yummyness all around. Well done! Kid making the pizzas was super friendly as well. But to my surprise…I just learned there’s a Sal’s in Portage (way closer to home). Excited to try there too. My friend and I can’t stop talking about how good the pizza was. Sal’s made our day!!

Sal’s Pizza is the best NY-style pizza in town and the only pizzeria open on Sundays! Beyond the delicious pizza, the customer service was outstanding. They quickly corrected a miscommunication with our order and handled it with such care and kindness.

We ordered supreme slices, which came with garlic knots. The knots were good, but the pizza was not. The crust is just kind of ridiculous, which as we all know makes or breaks a pizza. Clearly pre-made and spongey. Toppings, including cheese, were sparse. Flavor was definitely lacking. Was a little shocked by the high price too!
Their pizza used to be really good. We won’t be going back.

Pretty good pizza, I wouldn’t recommend the garlic knots. In the past they’ve been good, but with my most recent visit I must’ve gotten a stale one. I brought it up to the front counter to see if I could get it replaced, but the cashier told me they “don’t make those any more” and I said “what” and he said “we haven’t made a batch of garlic knots since, like, 2001” which I guess would explain the staleness, but I figured he was just being smart, so I said “what??” And he said “yeah, you know, 9/11” and kind of vaguely waved his hand around(?) And I said “9/11?” And he said “it’s New York style pizza” and I asked what September eleventh could possibly have to do with garlic knots and he shrugged and kind of lazily tapped a framed picture of the twin towers behind the counter that said “never again” which, like, okay. I guess that makes sense, but it’s a weird phrase to put on a 9/11 remembrance photo.

Overall good besides the bizarre conversation

EDIT in response to owner’s reply:
I just want to say that whoever’s replying to the reviews here accused me of using AI to write mine, and I take personal offense to that claim. I would NEVER write anything with the help of AI and my review came solely from my own mind and hands. I chose to spend a few minutes of my finite time on this earth writing this stupid review to give my brother, a former Sals employee, a little giggle when he read it. AI is the bane of my existence and has no place in creative writing, or in a pizza shop. Peace out, please never call my reviews AI again, I almost threw up in my mouth.

This is hands down the best pizza in Wisconsin — no question about it. I grew up in Brooklyn, and the first bite from Sal’s took me straight back home. The crust is perfect, the sauce tastes legit, and the cheese hits just right. You can actually fold the slice like a real New York pie!

You’re not finding pizza like this anywhere else around here. Cedarburg hit the jackpot with Sal’s. If you know good pizza, this is the spot.

We just had a slice this afternoon. Pizza is fresh and yummy. Really thin crust and you can fold your pizza to eat it 🙂 Love it! We usually stop here when we’re in town.

My two friends and I went to Sal’s Pizza in Cedarburg for a Sunday lunch. It was really good! The servers were very helpful. You could eat inside or outside. There were lots of different options for unique pizza flavors. You could buy by the slice or a whole pizza. We loved the by-the-slice option—we all had plenty to eat with just one slice! Every pizza slice comes with a roll, too. Stop by Sal’s for tasty gourmet pizza!
