Sarthi is without a doubt the most authentic and delicious Indian cuisine in Bath. We are so impressed with the quality and authentic flavors of the food. We enjoyed Pampadum, with the Pickle Tray to start. Then had Samosa Chat, Vegetable Biryani Rice with Chana Masala and Masala Dosa. Every dish is a masterpiece in culinary craftsmanship. The flavors are amazing. The spice is perfect . The presentation is beautiful. Such an explosion of flavors on the palate. Finishing the meal with a luxurious Beetroot Latte was the perfect ending to a meal we will never forget. The owners and staff are absolutely the most kind , friendly and talented group of people you could ever want to meet. We watched the staff interact with all their customers and their smiles were so genuine. We are so grateful to have had this culinary experience and cannot wait to return to Bath to visit this fabulous restaurant again. We definitely recommend everyone try this establishment.

Wife’s choice being from Gujerati Vegi roots . Luckily for her , I’d over indulged my carnivorous cravings over the last 24 hours in Bath. A break was needed so I agreed.

The whole menu is vegetarian with plant based meat stand ins . Plant based meat substitutes , don’t even get me started , that is a different topic altogether…anyways back to the food.

Poppadoms served with a pickle tray . Pickle tray was exceptional. Stand out was a dynamite and I mean “dynamite” dip that set fire to your insides .

We had the Pani Puri for starters. Such a simple dish when done at home but surprising how may so called indian restaurants get it wrong. No problem here . The puris , the fillings, the spicing everything was exactly how it should be and a great palate cleanser to start the meal.

I decided to share a dosa with the wife and some makhani dal together with a buttered naan. Naan was exceptional. Warm.buttey and fluffy and coupled with the dal , delicious. The dosa was lovely, light crispy and the accompanying chutneys , lovely. “Just like how Mum used to make ” the other half commented. Finally a couple of scoops of kulfi , which I am partial to , rounde off a delicious, perfectly spiced meal.

Service was fantastic. Food was fantastic. Price was fantastic.

Something authentic off the beaten path .

Lovely experience finding another vegetarian Indian restaurant in Bath. Lots of vegan options too. The servings are generous and the food very fresh. Aromatic and tasty. I had the Palak Patta Chat and the Chili Gobi. The chili Gobi had a nice spice kick. The chat was a chef’s special and was delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great experience.

We have been waiting for an opportunity to eat at Sarthi and when it came they did not disappoint. We are very fond of other well established Indian restaurants in Bath. We can now add Sarthi to that list – in fact we have already made plans to return in early December with friends who have not yet had the Sarthi experience!

Our food was absolutely delicious; the service was prompt, polite and we never felt rushed or bombarded by staff – thank you. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Sarthi and very much look forward to returning soon. Highly recommended!

During my visit to Bath as a tourist from Birmingham, I was searching for proper, authentic Indian food — and I’m so glad I came across this restaurant. From start to finish, the experience was absolutely outstanding.

We began our meal with starters of Hara Bhara Kabab, Masala Puri, and Vada Pav. Each dish was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, giving us a real taste of India. For the main course, we tried Kaju Paneer Masala, Paneer Angara, and a selection of naan breads. Every bite was rich in flavor, beautifully spiced, and cooked to perfection. To end our meal, we enjoyed a cup of Masala Chai, which was the perfect finish — warm, aromatic, and truly comforting.

Not only was the food incredible (I would honestly rate it 100 out of 10), but the service was equally impressive. The staff were very friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which made us feel completely at home.

If you are visiting Bath and looking for authentic Indian food with excellent service, this is the place you must try. Without a doubt, this was the most satisfying dinner I’ve had in Bath, and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
