No handicapped access to 2nd floor restaurant and pretty but uneven flavored food. Dinner entrees should be hot unless billed as a cold salad. No salt or pepper on the tables and they use the cheapest old silverware and paper napkins for meals $18 – $28. At that price I expect better silverware and cloth napkins. I shouldn’t have to ask for salt and pepper to balance the acidity of the vinegar used heavily in some parts of a dish leaving other parts dry and flavorless.

Excellent service, wonderful beverages….. Food was over-seasoned to excess. I had the Scallops & Mussels with Asparagus. The scallops had great flavor when wiped in a napkin to remove pepper and excess sauce. Definitely order sauce on the side. Asparagus was perfectly cooked. My hubby had the fried chicken. He liked it less the cauliflower, which was bitter/sour ( like buttermilk? ). We are not likely to return.

Very nice place. First time going and was super impressed by the staff, food and atmosphere. Had the BLT special and it was very filling and had lots of flavor and same with the steak fries. The people that say the food doesn’t have flavor don’t know what they are talking. I don’t live in Maine but next time I’m back, I’m going there. Apparently it is a brand new restaurant.

We travelled with a limited mobility lady, who was determined to have an upstairs seat on their upper deck. They could not have more accommodating in helping us make that happen. They even allowed us to go through their back rooms as it allowed easier access for the lady.
Our waiter was great..very attentive and quick with out orders.
The food was absolutely delicious…we tried many different things from their menu and each and everyone was a delectable treat..from the watermelon salad to the seafood dip ending with a fabulous creme brulee.
I cannot thank them enough for all their kindness and I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone on the area.

My wife and I visited Homage on our vacation. The hostess was extremely cheery and personable. They hove options for both bar seating, a bit louder with more pub like atmosphere, and dining room, which is upstairs more cozy relaxed feeling. We started with their crab cake special which was a great the flavors of the sauce, spinach and crab cake were very well paired. My wife got the all american burger, it was done medium (as asked for) the salt and vinegar steak fries were flavorful. The flavors of the burger were well balanced. I had the sirloin sandwich which again was served at the requested doneness. The flavors of this sandwich were out of this world with the mustard roasted onions and sauce. The rosemary fries were extremely tasty as well. Portion sizes were large (standard American sized). The waitress was very personable as well we had a great time and likely will return saving room next time for some of their tasty sounding desserts :).

Very disappointed, all 19 of us were all so excited to have a new restaurant in town. The place has been remodeled very nicely. No elevator, made it very hard for my 83 year old Dad who just had surgery on his ankle climb the stairs.
Mama chicken dish no taste at all. My Sister has celiac, the meal made her sick which was supposed to be gluten free. Two others also had Mama’s Chicken they also said no taste. I had steak and scallops. Steak was well done when ordered medium, scallops were cold.
I would love to see this restaurant succeed, but they need to add more flavor to their meals. Also no one liked the French fries.

Great local place. Flavorful and interesting menu. Always good specials. Favorites are the umami burger and moms fried chicken. Oh and the scallops too.
Seasonal beer menu with good variety and selection. Cozy bar on the first floor.
Kid friendly with grilled cheese and other basics on the kid’s menu.

I enjoy eating at Homage. The food is fresh, local & delicious. Talking with the staff, I get great recommendations, and I think I have had almost everything on the menu and have several favorites. When I say fresh, I mean FRESH!! All the breads, baked goods, and even the pickles are made in house. They have no microwave or freezer in the kitchen, or even a can opener. If you are in Freeport you should give this new restaurants a try. The menu is very different from the other places, don’t be hesitant to try.

LOVE LOVE LOVED this place. We stopped on our way up North and I can’t wait to go back. Our server Ben was perfect, so nice and frkendly and fast and flexible with my food sensitivities. I had the salmon-best salmon I’ve ever had. My husband had the chirizo burger and veggies. Food was amazing, service amazing and atmosphere clean and bright and beautiful. We loved it .You won’t regret it.

The restaurant was decorated well and looked very clean. Our server was attentive and helpful. We had drinks with our luch and the drinks were very good. However, the food was marginal at best. It looked great, but lacked flavor.
