Absolutely incredible experience! This little mom and pop Italian restaurant is a true hidden gem. The food was outstanding, everything tasted fresh, authentic, and made with so much care. You can tell there’s real passion behind every dish.
From the moment we walked in, the service was top notch. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and had that cozy, classic Italian charm that makes you want to stay awhile.
Also Rocco, the owner, as well as his father were phenomenal. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and made us feel right at home. It’s rare to find that level of hospitality these days at any restaurant you go to.
Everything from the service to the food and atmosphere was 10/10. Definitely found my new spot, can’t wait to come back!

I’m from out of town, came to Sarasota to visit my grandmother. My family and I wanted to take her out to eat for dinner before we headed out of town. I’ve been to this restaurant before but it used to be a small pizza joint. This place is wonderful, I was amazed by the transformation they made from pizza joint to Italian restaurant! I am a hospitality worker and I in fact currently work/ manage at a fine dining Italian restaurant. Let me tell you I’m blown away by Bella Vita. The food portions are massive, the food presentation is outstanding with the rolling cart the bring out to the table, some dishes having stable side presentation. And the service is outstanding and the whole staff is hands on deck accommodating to guests at tables. This place is so comforting and so family and friend oriented. If you are in the area and carving Italian food you must try this place! Big shout out to our server Daniel, thank you for taking care of me and my family tonight at dinner!!

This would be a 10 star review if I could give it. The staff is amazing. Zack was our server but all of the staff helped us during our visit. The owner, Rocco, also came by twice to check on us. The food is delicious and the portions are enough for two meals plus. The sauce is light but full of flavor. I had the chicken parmigiana, which came with a side of spaghetti. The size of the chicken was unbelievable and the amount of spaghetti could have feed 3 people. My wife had the eggplant roll a teeny and a side of spaghetti. We both eat all we wanted and still took two large containers home. The homemade cannolis were awesome. Only had room for a taste but they were the real deal. The place has a very nice vibe and feeling of very friendly atmosphere. The prices are a little steep but the quality and amount of the food is second to none.

If you’re looking for actual authentic Italian food, this is your place! Everyone is super nice and make you feel like family. The owner, Rocco greets everyone and makes sure everyone is happy! It was my husband and I’s first time, and now we’ve finally found a legit Italian spot. We will be back again and again! We ordered the small margarita pizza, lobster ravioli, and pink chicken parm. Everything was phenomenal! The salad and bread is so good and fresh too!

After living 3 years in Florida, we finally found a home style Italian restaurant like the ones we had in South Philly. Bella Vita in Sarasota is a hidden gem. The owner Rocco is out on the restaurant floor talking with the customers and making sure everyone is having a great time. The portions are overwhelming and the taste is old time Italian family cooking. We ordered the Rocco’s Italian platter which consisted of an extremely large and tender piece of veal parmesan, a huge piece of lasagna and the best piece of eggplant parmesan I ever had plus about a pound of linguini with a to die for sauce. All of that for $46.95. We cannot wait to go back and when you go make sure you bring your appetite.

This new restaurant is a must try. Their food is delicious from the appetizers to desserts. The service was great. Pastina, our server, was very helpful and attentive. Rocco, who is the owner, was amazing. So friendly and he really enjoyed telling us about his food. And we loved hearing about everything. The portions are more than generous and welcomed the leftovers. We can’t wait to be going back next week.

My wife and I had dinner with friends last night at Bella Vita. It was our 1st time at the restaurant. Let me tell you. We are from New Jersey where the Italian food is in most of NJ amazing. Last night it was like we were eating back in NJ. The food was Great! The service was superb and Rocco the owner made us feel like family. The food portions were so big and delicious that we have leftovers for a couple of days. Me being full blooded Italian, I recommend this restaurant highly. It will be one of your favorites. 5+ Stars. One more thing. The movie “A Bronx Tail” is playing at all times. Forgetaboutit.
