Tamales were filled with meats. Portions as of now weren’t disappointing. So I’d say the price is not bad

This PLACE HAS THE BEST TAMALES I HAVE EVER HAD in my LIFE!!! I’m born and raised in East Los. This is by far the best place to go if you are craving bomb tamales and champurrado!! Perfect for cold days shoot any day actually lol. I’ll be placing my order for Christmas soon.

Never knew about this place was just searching for a place that would have menudo early on the weekend, and it was a hit. I also tried the
chicharon Tamale very tasty I definitely will be going back to try some different dishes, and I really liked that they’re family owned and all for the East LA community ✨️

My husband and I were craving tamales and this place popped up near me on a Google search. We decided to give it a try. We ordered champurrado and it was awful. It tasted like old grease. Maybe like old or stale masa? We both took one sip and left it there. The tamales were okay. They were a little bland, the rice and beans were okay. They only gave us green salsa, which really helped give the food more flavor. I gave the atmosphere a 1 star because there was a big fat moth flying behind my husbands head the entire time and it grossed me out. I know it’s probably not the restaurant’s fault that a huge moth snuck in overnight. But still, it didn’t help the dining experience.

Beautiful little spot, pork tamales are on point. The coffee was fresh and strong. Plus they had my favorite creamer. The girls that took my order were very sweet and accommodating. I will be coming back.

This is one of my favorite tamale spots in Los Angeles. I ordered the red pok tamales with a medium order of champurado. It was all perfect. I’ll continue to go here as long as I’m in the area. During the holidays, it gets hectic.

girl at register told me “hey we have bean and cheese tamales on the weekend, if you want to try?” so I said sure.. why not.. well I get home and cheese isn’t even melted it’s barely even warm.. wth? waste of money.. I seen that and just threw it away

edit:: tried the pork tamale and when I opened it up the masa was still semi raw.. I just can’t win with this place..

I made a $20 purchase at this restaurant for a to go order and I wasn’t allowed to have one small container of hot sauce, a small 2 oz container they wanted to charge me 50 cents that’s being way to damn cheap.

The tamales are amazing. They don’t stiff you with the filling, the masa is soft and the meat is tender. Salsas are awesome. Service is ok, it can be quick but I had to wait for more tamales to be made. 1 minor complaints however.

We decided to come by to try out and support local restaurants so here’s our experience, The tamales were okay it kinda had some fatty parts with the meat inside no flavor to the tamales. We also tried Their asada, carnitas burritos. Also not a lot of flavor to the meats. Not marinated or seasoned. overcooked. But we’re willing to give this place a chance next time we go. Probably try something different in the menu. The lady who works there is very nice. The place was clean and nice just kinda hot and stuffy. try it out! Support local businesses
